Baby Wood Ducks are the cutest things! This little duck was sitting on a log with her siblings and mother. After a good deal of swimming and feasting on little bugs, she took a break to do some preening and get a little nap in :)
This past summer was the first year that I really paid attention to all the ducklings in Stanley Park. I'd seen them before, but never really stopped to have a closer look. With a video camera, it was the perfect excuse to slow down and pay my undivided attention to these beautiful little creations. Watching them grow up slowly but surely was a real treat! I really like the little squeaky noise they make while swimming around and feeding on bugs :)
