Concern without solution + Preocupación sin solución. [Eng+Spa]

I have a concern I want to get off my mind for a bit, so I decided to write a little about it.

It may not help with the solution, but if it can help clear my mind, it can already be considered a good thing.

I have a sister who lives in another country, far enough away that we can't offer any direct help. I've been very disconnected from everything and everyone for a long time. And both circumstances don't help our relationship, which used to be close, to remain on the warmest terms.

It's my fault, as I shouldn't stop communicating with the family from time to time. But I neglected it, and my withdrawn nature didn't help much in all this.

My sister's health has been declining in recent years. Which is normal considering we're both quite advanced in age. However, my sister is in that other country without any family to support her.

Being in another town, without immediate family, without a stable job, full of worries, with constant stress… in short, it's not a pleasant situation. And this burdens both the person and the family, who can do nothing to help.

We're now at home waiting for news. My brother and my father are also worried, but beyond worrying, there's nothing more we can do.

Let's add something to this situation. I suppose that in a while we'll start praying.

I've never been religious, but in these circumstances, I have nothing more to contribute, nothing more to do to help. Even if prayer is useless in our reality, at least it's something that brings peace of mind.

Anyway, I hope that when they check my sister in that hospital, they manage to treat her well and cure her condition.

Tengo una preocupación que quiero sacar un poco de mi mente, así que me decidí a escribir un poco al respecto.

Puede que no ayude en la solución, pero si puede ayudar a despejar la mente ya se le puede considerar algo bueno.

Tengo una hermana que vive en otro país, está lo bastante lejos como para que no podamos brindarnos ninguna ayuda directa. Yo he estado muy desconectado de todo y de todos durante un largo tiempo. Y ambas circunstancias no ayudan a que nuestra relación, que solía ser cercana, esté en los términos más cálidos.

Ha sido culpa mía, pues no debería dejar de comunicarme cada cierto tiempo con la familia. Pero me descuidé y mi carácter retraído no ayudó mucho en todo esto.

Mi hermana ha estado decayendo en su salud en los últimos años. Cosa que es normal considerando que ambos somos ya de edad un poco avanzada. Pero, mi hermana está en aquel otro país sin ningún familiar que le apoye.

Estar en otra localidad, sin familia directa, sin trabajo estable, lleno de preocupaciones, con estrés continuo… en fin, que es una situación nada agradable. Y esto carga de preocupaciones tanto a la persona misma como a la familia, que no puede hacer nada para ayudar.

Quedamos ahora en casa esperando noticias. Mi hermano y mi padre también están preocupados, pero fuera de estar preocupados no podemos hacer nada más.

Sumemos a esta situación alguna cosa, supongo que dentro de un rato será que nos pondremos a rezar.

Yo nunca he sido religioso, pero en estas circunstancias no tengo nada más que aportar, ni nada más que hacer para ayudar. Incluso si una oración resulta inútil en nuestra realidad, cuando menos es algo que brinda tranquilidad mental.

En fin, ojalá cuando revisen a mi hermana en aquel hospital le logren atender bien y curen su situación.
