Generally, focus on the top 25-30 currencies. Several institutions including the CME, Nasdaq and CBOE have stated that they plan to start trading cryptocurrency derivatives as early as December 2017. Although Bitcoin might seem like a big giant to most of us, it's a small penny stock for institutions. When they come in, they will focus their time and efforts on the top 25-30 coins since even those are small gambles for them.
