What is needed for the drawing

To draw the bird, I needed the following materials, as listed in the table below.

Drawing Procedure

Step 1 [Preparing the Canvas]

This is my prepared drawing paper,

It is cut and ready with my username and today's date. Monday 21 April 2025.

Step 2 [The bird's head]

I started with a circle as a guideline for drawing the bird's head.

The centre of the circle has a smaller circle for the bird's eye. Followed by a triangle for its beak and another triangle at the back of the bird's head, representing its crest.

Step 3 [body and tail]

A straight line linking the head and body to the tail of the bird.

A triangle for the tail and a semicircle for the bird's body.

The guide for its legs are two lines and the tree branch it is perched on.

Step 4 [Erasing Guideline Segments]

Erasing segments of the guidelines that will not be used.

Step 5 [Shading and detailing]

Adding details and Shading to the bird's eye and beak.

Shading the bird's head and its crest.

Shading and blending the bird's body.

Step 6 [Finishing]

Shading the bird's tail, and making it blend with the bird's body.

You may have noticed I used only two pencils to get the different shading and intensity in my drawing. Can you guess how that could be accomplished?
