Spending Seollal with family is a significant holiday. People visit their parents and grandparents at their hometown during this time. Seollal falls on January 29, 2025, this year. Individuals converse, play Yut-nori, and enjoy eating food together. Children use "sebae" to show elders respect. Elders then give the kids "sebaedon," also known as "New Year Money." Although Seollal offers a variety of Korean cuisine, "rice cake soup" is one of the most significant dishes.
