User engagement is one of the greatest things about Steem in my opinion!

@Ma1neEvent here with you again for another blog post. Today I'm discussing ways we can all engage more with each other through post replies.
A while back, I tried to start up a challenge on Steem where everyone tries to leave at least 5 unique replies on 5 different Steem posts. The hope was to increase user engagement on the platform.
While I did it for awhile, I must admit I have been slacking. The winter months were long, and I took a bit of a break from Steem. I'm happy to say though that I'm trying hard to get back in action reading more posts, and leaving more replies.
The idea here is for all of you out there to try and leave more replies on more posts. Not spamming up the chain, but actual genuine replies. I'm aiming for at least 5 replies per day, hence the "5 replies per day" challenge.
We all love it when people read our blogs and leave comments... so we have to try to do it as well! Who knows, you may inspire someone to keep creating and posting on Steem!
This is of course totally voluntary. I'm trying to give some positive and constructive criticism where I can, as well as just letting the author know I read thier posts. It certainly brightens my day when I see more replies to my content!

I think this is a great idea and would love more to jump on board with this idea, for me I am a bit of a commenting fiend at times, this week is slow for me but I am still well over the 5 replies and or comments a day :)

Yes replying not only increases engagement, if also increases your knowledge base since you actually try to make an effort to read other's content :)

This is great initiative. #Fiverepliesperday is a bit of a mouthful. #Fiveaday rolls of the tongue but people will think your telling them to eat five pieces of fruit or veg each day !
I think it took me a while to realise how important the curating part was.
My impression is most people come onto steemit dreaming of creating great content not to read others content.

I think this kind of "commitment" is of the utmost importance for people to feel motivated to write. When you write something and nobody seems to give a damn (most of people read, but doesn't interact commenting on something) this is discouraging.
