Director of the movie
I tried directing once. Not a movie, but a short play. I can't say that I loved it. I didn't really know what I was doing. But I don't think I'd want to do it again. Reading about pedagogy is really interesting to me. Maybe reading about directing would be, too. I guess, trying anything, just about, is interesting. And really I can't say...well, that's the thing. I did try directing, and I didn't love it. But I feel like if I had any idea what I was doing, or maybe had some directing to my directing, maybe I would have gotten more out of it? I don't know. I'm just not interested in directing. And one must be interested in something to really want to pursue doing it and learning about it, I think. I am interested in teaching. I am interested in writing, and I'm interested in reading, and I'm interested in helping inspire others to enjoy reading and writing. I think everyone should enjoy reading and writing, because these things are all about learning about others and learning about oneself. The more I learn about teaching and how we learn, though, the more I want to be someone that learns with others, as a way of teaching. So we're all really teaching each other and learning together. And I'm more a facilitator than anything. That's the thing that bugs me so much about some Buy Nothing admins--they don't view themselves as facilitators, or maybe they think they do, but instead they act like dictators. Man oh man I can't stand a lot of Buy Nothing admins. I'm in a FB group with a bunch of LA area ones, and some of these folks seem like real assholes.
