1️⃣ Explain in your own words what an IEO is.

Under this question I will talk about what IEO is and some of the basic features here.

What is an IEO

Initial Exchange Offering or IEO is a fundraising method for crypto projects using the most popular cryptocurrencies such as Binance, Kucoin, Huobi Global and Bittrex. IEO maintains a good relationship between crypto products and the investors who invest in them. This is very important for the success of the project.

The launch of IEO on binance exchange has started in the year 2019. There are currently over 45 IEO launchpads in the binance exchange. This is the last IEO project currently being done on binance.

You can find an IEO list and what is the IEO-enabled cryptocurrency exchange on the coincodex website. Although happened an initial exchange offering in some exchanges, only users who are registered with the cryptocurrency exchange and verify their identity can participate in an IEOs event.

IEOs have been introduced to crypto space users as a solution to both the fraudulent processes that take place in ICOs and the costly processes in STOs as well as its slowdown. But I see something more special in ICOs than IEOs. That feature is that investors in ICOs can reach crypto projects directly, but in IEOs crypto projects must always involve a third party.

Basic features of IEO

A key feature here is that it allows investors to obtain new tokens as well as the opportunity to raise funds for certain crypto projects. This fundraising is for beginners.

Any one can not participate an IEOs event. Only users with a verified account on the exchange platform can participate. ( In case of binance exchange, KYC verification is required. ) Tokens in IEO can be obtained by attending an IEOs event. This is because IEO does not provide a crypto token for public opening. Users must therefore set up a registered account in a cryptocurrency exchange to attend an IEO event.

Initial Exchange Offering is for a limited time only. That is, if an exchange such as binance launches a new project, investors are given a period of time to purchase the tokens before those new tokens enter the open market. Users can purchase tokens during that period with IEO.

2️⃣ Do you consider IEOs an advantageous way to make an investment? Explain.

Yes. Of course, I consider IEOs to be an advantageous way to invest. I present several reasons for this.

• Anyone looking to become an investor can use the funds at hand to buy new tokens from an IEO event. It's an advantage to be able to buy new tokens from IEO before that asset hits the market. The advantage of this is that after the end of the project period, the token can be sold at a profit of about ten times the amount purchased, with an exchange that facilitates the sale of the new token. Investors can get a good profit from IEO as the return is higher in terms of transaction fees.

• It also launches new token to exchanges a few days after an IEO event. This allows investors access to instant liquidity. This will help coin holders to make a profit of 10% or more.

• Also, once you have invested in IEO, you can keep the new tokens in your crypto wallet for a while. I say this because when the price of that asset goes up in the market you can make more profit out of it. For example, the VOXEL and PORTO tokens that were last launched in the binance IEO launchpad are currently priced at more than $2 today. These tokens were released to the market about a month ago. But the price increase here is at a good level.

3️⃣ List advantages and disadvantages of participating in an IEO.

Let us now look at the pros and cons of attending an IEO event.

Advantages ✅

• Because IEO is done through a trusted third party, fraudsters are not able to present various fraudulent projects. So users no longer fall prey to scammers.

• Being able to use IEO as an advantageous way to invest. This will allow investors to obtain new tokens. I have explained under the above question how this can be advantageous.

• Because smart contract exchanges like Binance handle IEO, users can trust those IEO projects. This is because KYC-like authentication is required before engaging in such exchanges.

• When issuing tokens, it is sufficient for investors to pay a lower transaction fee to obtain those tokens. This transaction fee is very low compared to the subsequent profit.

• The exchange offers some benefits to token holders who contribute more to the project.

Disadvantages ❌

• Even if the Initial Exchange Offering is overseen by a trusted third party, an investment made cannot be considered 100% risk free. There may be a slight or some risk here. This is due to the effect of the price on the tokens.

• Any user can not participate in IEO. In order to participate in this, you must have a verified account in the relevant exchange. Also, the verified methods for this are strict.

• Because of the exchange uncertainty in the IEO procedure, conflicts between IEO regulators may arise during cryptocurrency exchanges. This also has some effect on investors. As a result of such conflicts, the exchange will fail to confirm the needs of investors.

• Also is can't free participate for IEO. Users must have a certain amount of funding for this. If in Binance, a user's binance account must have at least 0.1 BNB in order to participate in IEO.

4️⃣ Explain how to participate in an IEO, for the process explore various exchanges, choose one of them and explain the process. (Please use from screenshots.) (No need to participate, just register, present proof of verified account and explain the whole process, do not use Binance)

How to participate in an IEO

• To participate in an IEO event, the first thing you need to do is select an currently active IEO that is suitable for you to attend. To do this, you need to look carefully at one of the IEO platforms that run IEO from a website like coincodex and select it.

• You will then need to open an account in the selected cryptocurrency exchange and verify its authenticity. Only users who successfully complete the KYC verification will have access to IEO.

• You will then need to plenish your account with cryptocurrencies that can be used to subscribe to IEO. (If in case of Binance exchange, you need to have at least 0.1 BNB amount in your account Spot, Future or Margin wallet for this. )

• Lastly once you start buying new tokens in IEO, you can buy new tokens by paying transaction fees with the cryptocurrency you have previously accumulated.

Here are some of the IEO launchpads currently active on the p2ppb2b exchange. You can buy new tokens by registering here and doing KYC verification.

6️⃣ Conclusion.

Now I know that IEO is a fundraising method for projects that take place in various cryptocurrency exchanges. Also only users with an verified account in exchange, can participate in this IEO event. I understand from this that all users can't participate in this. IEO projects are completed within a specified time frame. There users can buy new tokens before its hit the market. After users can then sell the tokens in an exchange that allows them to be traded and make a profit. But in order to receive tokens through IEO, you must have a certain amount of cryptocurrency that contributes to it in your registered account. Transaction fees are charged from these cryptocurrencies.

I have a verified account in binance exchange. And I also saw notifications about the IEO launchpad there. But before that I really did not know what it was. Because of this lesson I now know about IEO. Thanks to professor @nane15 for telling us about this in a lecture.
