I sat at my desk, busy pressing my keyboard and clicking mouse, when my phone rang. It was a new client, requesting a special design project. He explained that his boss was turning 50 tomorrow and he wanted to present him with a unique birthday card. Not just any card, but one that would commemorate this milestone birthday - a golden jubilee.
I asked him to come over to the office for more explanation, about 45 minutes later, he arrived my office and explained in details what he really want. I listened attentively as he described his vision. He wanted the card to be designed, printed, and framed, all within a tight deadline. I assured him that I was up for the challenge.

To get started, I asked about his boss's favourite colour. "Sky blue"' he replied. I made a mental note, thinking about how I could incorporate this colour into the design.
As we discussed further, he provided me with more details. He gave me the birthday wishes, his boss's name, his wife's name, and the names of his children. I jotted down each piece of information, envisioning how I could creatively incorporate them into the design.

With all the necessary details in hand, I set to work. I opened my CorelDRAW X7 design software and began experimenting with different combinations of sky blue and complementary colours. I wanted the design to be vibrant and eye-catching, yet sophisticated and elegant.
As I worked, the design began to take shape. I added subtle textures, balloons to depict the celebration and patterns, carefully balancing each element to create a visually appealing composition. The sky blue dominated the design, but I incorporated other related colours like black and white to add depth and interest.

Finally, I added the personal touches - the names of his boss, his wife, and children. I arranged them in a beautiful, flowing script, making sure they stood out against the sky blue background. As I stepped back to admire my work, I felt a sense of pride and satisfaction. The design was stunning - a true masterpiece. I couldn't wait to see the look on the boss's face when he received the card.
I quickly printed and rushed to the framing shop where I used to frame my work to frame the design, making sure everything was perfect. By then it was late already and the time was almost beyond the scheduled due to the short time frame of the job. I couldn't take more pictures since I was rushing to catch up with my client.
As I handed the finished product over to my client, he beamed with delight. "Wow, this is incredible," he exclaimed. "My boss is going to love it." I smiled, knowing that I had created something truly special. As the client left my office, I felt grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this milestone celebration.
Tomorrow, the boss would mark his 50th birthday, and my beautiful birthday card design would be there to make the moment even more unforgettable.
