Wednesday, 9th April 2025 was a day of accomplishment and pride. As a teacher, I'm used to being busy, but since the school closed for holidays, I've taken on a new challenge - fufu and garri processing. It's not just a hobby; I'm doing it for both commercial and consumption purposes.

That morning, I woke up early, as I always do. After completing my home chores, I freshened up and got my son, Princewill, ready for the day. I bathed him and prepared his favourite meal for breakfast. He's such a sweet boy, and seeing him happy and content fills my heart with joy.

Once Princewill was settled, I turned my attention to the task at hand: frying garri. I had a large batch to get through, and I was determined to complete it. The process can be tedious, but I find it therapeutic. The smell of cassava filling the air, the sound of the frying pan sizzling - it's music to my ears.

As I worked, Princewill kept me company, playing nearby and occasionally asking for my attention. I loved having him around, and it made the task even more enjoyable. After several hours of hard work, I finally completed the garri.
I felt a sense of pride and accomplishment, knowing that I had produced something with my own hands. The smell of freshly fried garri filled the air, and couldn't wait to sell some and make some money while keeping some for consumption.

This holiday is a reminder that being a teacher doesn't define me. I'm a multifaceted woman with many talents and passions. I'm grateful for the opportunity to explore this new venture and provide for my family in a different way. As I close this entry, I'm filled with a sense of gratitude and contentment.
Later in the evening, I prepared banger soup and served myself and family with the just fried garri as our dinner, took my bath and retired for the day. It was a good day, and I'm excited to see what the future holds.
