Happy Weekend to everyone. I am sending special greetings to every member of the community and steemit in general, hope everybody had a good day today and we all have eaten. Let me just add, no matter what you're going through, always make sure you eat. Alright let's move to my today's diary.
Today being saturday, I woke up 8:25am, I remember the time precisely because a phone call woke me up, if not for that call I'm sure, I would slept longer. Saturday is always a very busy day cause it's a day that involves house cleaning the house, washing dirty clothes and cooking food to last the house the whole week. So back to me after I woke up, the normal routine of easing myself and brushing, but this morning, when I woke up, my brother was in the bathroom so I couldn't use the bathroom instead I went to the backyard to ease myself before I came back inside, he was done and I went in to brush my mouth.
After I was done brushing, I went out to the sitting room, where I met my sis making list and getting ready to go to the market but we had not decided on the soup to cook, so she asked me "what soup should we cook today?", without wasting time, I answered "Egusi Soup", for those who don't know, Egusi is melon. I picked Egusi because it's been a little while since I had that and I particularly love the way she prepares her Egusi soup, OMG, it's always fantastic. To my happiness, everyone agreed to my suggestion of Egusi soup and with that the list was later completed and she went to the market.
When she left for the market, I was asked to go clean the car, big Mommy and Daddy were to be wedding guests today. On hearing talks about cleaning car, my brother mentioned that he had cleaned the car already which was surprising tho, but when we all went to check it wasn't properly cleaned and he never even touched the interior and wheels of the vehicle which to meant more work for me. I started cleaning the car, first with the body, then moved to the interior before the wheels. While I was still cleaning, Big Mommy and Daddy, came out dressed and ready to go but the car wasn't ready, I won't lie, I myself knew I was slow with the cleaning because I was still feeling a bit weak and lazy but then seeing them ready, made me hurry up a bit, my brother who claimed to had cleaned the car before had to come help rinse the foot mats I had laid outside, so I could finish fast and finally I got it done and in no time they were outside again looking great and stunning in their outfits, big Mommy wore a native gown I think it's a material that's called Tie and Dye and big Daddy wore a chieftaincy top, a black trouser, hung his traditional beads and had a staff in all, they both looked fantastic. They got in the car, I opened the gate for them and they drove off, I closed the gate and went inside.
On getting inside, I went to the backyard to exercise myself a bit so I could be relieved of the laziness and weakness I was feeling. During my exercise session I did a couple of press-ups, push-ups, stretching and jumping . I did a total of 50 press-ups, about 30 push-ups, yeah, I am used to it and sometimes I even do more than that. Finished the exercise and went straight to the bathroom since I was soaked in sweat, took my bath and changed my clothes, I took my phone to make a call, go through my chats for a while which in all I think I spent almost an hour if not more because I also played a football game, DLS, Dream League which I was able to conclude and be the champion of the current Easter tournament that's ongoing in the app. You can see the "champion" title I am given in the picture below. I took the picture because I was excited I could finally complete it because I struggled and failed several times before now.
When I was done with the game, I went in for breakfast, when I got to the kitchen and opened the pot, it was rice and stew but I wasn't happy, know why? Because I discovered that was the last portion of the stew and there was no meat in it, apparently, we have finished the meats in the stew before the stew itself finished, lol, I'm sure this happens to some of you here if not all of you.
Okay, so I finished, having my breakfast while still trying to wash and rinse the plate, sis returned from the market, ouch! I was planning to go relax a bit for my food to digest before doing any other thing but that's not going to happen now that she's back because once she's back all hands on deck to get the meals prepared and done on time. So we are to prepare Egusi soup, stew, porridge and also cook Daddy's soup, which is always different from the others and reason is because Big Daddy eats very little or no Maggi and salts in his food which today was okro soup. So today, my assigned duty was to wash and cut some vegetables and it was while doing this I remembered, "Oh, I haven't taken any pictures for my diary" I then rushed to get my phone to capture the vegetables, periwinkle I was washing and the okro i had washed and was then cutting.
By the time I finished with the vegetables I washed my hands, rinsed my hands, very relieved to be done with it, don't get me wrong oh, I love cooking buy I like it at my own timing not when given and told all those thing to do. I wasn't done with all that I had to do for the day yet, when I was done with the vegetables, I went to the room, we had cleaning to do, but first we took the foam and pillows outside to air it, we air the foam every Saturday, because there are nights where there's no power supply and heat go almost finish us, lol, I mean we get to sweat alot and end up soaking the bed and pillows.
Finished withe toilet, washed my clothes and then took my bath after that, I went to the kitchen scoop white rice with the left over okro soup, I was hungry oh, I just ate, went to carry my phone again which was connected to Bluetooth all this while and was blasting music which kept me company and kept me entertained as I did all the work.
I was finally done with the works, went to bed to sleep a bit, it was just 1hour+ sleep and I woke up, when I got up, I and my brother went to the gym, I knew I wouldn't be able to do much exercise but I went anywhere, you know trying to build the discipline and consistency. After the gym session we walked back gisting about the lady that was over showing herself at the gym, I'm even tempted to think she was looking for attention. We talked about other things and laughed on the way till we got home. On getting home, I had to wait for bro to shower first since he insisted on going in there first, saying I take much time when I'm in the bathroom, which I agree though I wasn't gonna take time this time because I wasn't going in with my phone.
Few minutes later he was done, this was about 8:48pm, so I went in showered and came out I was somehow in a hurry because I didn't want to miss the Copa Del Rey Final between Barcelona and Real Madrid which was to kick off by 9pm. So rushed my bath, came out, changed my clothes went for dinner which was the delicious Egusi soup, which I was anticipating all evening, while I was eating it was already few minutes past 9pm so opened a streaming app I was on my phone to watch matches, so there I was jejely watching the match and eating my food. I finished eating, washed my hands all this while with my phone which I was carrying round the house.
I later settled to watch so I could concentrate, the first goal was scored by Pedro a Barcelona player at 28th minutes, I wasn't so happy because I was backing Real Madrid the game remained 1 nil till half time. At half time decided to rush and get my diary done before the second half, so sorry I won't be telling you all the final score line, if you're interested, you'll have to google the results yourself, lol, that's for those who are not watching.
So my friends that's how I spent my Saturday, it was a very busy one and ones I'm done with the match I am going straight to bed, so I get enough sleep and be able to wake early for church service.
