SFS Contest Picture of the Day Week 38

The same way the young and underrated David felt when he defeated Goliath in the war front, that's how I felt this unforgettable evening captured in the picture above. With me is a bottle of beer popping and celebrating my joy and happiness, together with my friends, including @kidi40. There's something behind this moment that I've captured, and I'd like to briefly tell you the story that led to this unforgettable happiness.

There's this fitness team by name UltraFit, a renowned fitness team led by Coach Apostle. I knew about them even before joining Stayfit under the guidance of Ma'am @ngoenyi. Little did I know our paths would soon cross. Apostle reached out to our fitness coach, ngoenyi, to arrange a friendly football match between the two teams. The proposal was discussed in our official WhatsApp group, and we collectively agreed to the game, which took place at our training ground, Oba sports center.

On that Sunday evening, both teams arrived at the field and ready to kick-start the football game scheduled to begin at 4pm. We both wore our different football kits and exchange greetings. Truth be told, even before the start of the game, I personally was scared because of their height, strength, body balance and structure. In one word, there were all looking like Goliath of our time, while we stayfit team, were like young and underrated David.

We were indeed underrated, and we felt that when one of them said "you people don't have chest, don't you carry heavy weight"? We replied "Football game is not by muscle building or height". We added "Wait till the final whistle is blown, then we'll know". At 4pm prompt, the center referee blew his whistle, signalling the beginning of the game.

At half-time, UltraFit had all the ball in their possession, and they finally breakthrough by scoring stunning goal before the end of half-time. Half-time scores was UltraFit 1 - 0 StayFit. We stepped out of the field, when the referee blew his whistle for a 15 minutes break. We were all looking sad and nervous at the same time, we restrategize the game plan and went back with full force to play the remaining 45 minutes.

After 2 minutes of play during the second half, we won a penalty, and we successfully found the back of the net, making it a 1 - 1 draw. In the space of about 30 minutes, we scored two more goal, making it a 3 - 1 scoreline in favour of StayFit. You need to see the joy and excitement in and out of the pitch. Our fan were massive, and the chanted our team slogan which is "StayFit!!! Fitness for life, Fitness for life Stayfit!!!.

That moment we successfully did the comeback to triumph victory, we quickly changed our game plan to all 9 men defense and 1 man attack. Despite all their efforts to secure another goal, our defensive line was cemented. The final whistle was blown by the center referee, signalling the end of the thrilling football game. Incase you forget, final scoreline was StayFit 3 - 1 UltraFit

The underrated young David (StayFit), defeated the Almighty overrated Goliath (UltraFit). The celebration with a bottle of beer while dancing was captured that Sunday evening, and it's the picture of the day because it reminds me of our unexpected victory.
