Question 18

❓Number Riddle❓

What numbers / figures are hiding behind the ❓

Hint1:

Also @adrian1999 and @the-gorillla are pretty close, we could say both of them are circling around the correct answer; they probably missed an OPERATION at one point.

Hint2:

The numBeRs you aRe lookinG foR aRe not visiBle in the imaGe! Think of anotheR way to find numBeRs in each quaRteR of the imaGe and spRay some simple math!

The Math / Physics / Chemistry in the background are just to trick the AIs from getting a quick answer, otherwise some AIs get the answer in about 10 questions, maybe even less with the right ones.

@mojociocio knows the answer, made sure he can't be bribed to share it.

Edit: Saw other questions had a headline, so I added one too, Number Riddle
Edit2: Added Hint

And just to screw with everybody, I'm not going to explain why 😆

👍 And we have a winner!

I started feeling guilty at one point because no one thought checking the RGB values and play with them a little.

Was the question that bad? At first I wanted to add 4 pictures one below the other, and people would have to find out that there are 4 pictures and not only 1 and figure out the answer would be in the details (metadata) of the picture (like instead of showing the resolution of the image or the name of the camera used, there would have been a custom message).

But that would have been much worse than this one.

Nice question! Thanks :-)

Thank you :), I have a feeling I won't be allowed to create a new one anytime soon 😂

no one thought checking the RGB values and play with them a little.

I checked them but it didn't cross my mind for a minute to do anything with them!

It's nice to have a brain destroyer thrown in every now and again 😅

I checked them but it didn't cross my mind for a minute to do anything with them!

I already had the values, but had only written them one after the other... now I have the solution too ... unfortunately too late :-))

but had only written them one after the other

That’s exactly what I did too. In different orders. It seems so obvious now!

I've seen a vote that you made at 16:35 today, along with 100 other accounts. Is that a curation trail you're a part of? If so, I think you should leave it.

You're right, thanks for letting me know! I removed that account from my trail

It's not what I thought it was. I can see it's not RGB so wondered if it was CMYK or other colour guide. But it's not. Unless you've got different values to me. So for now, I don't know what it could be.

Some questions in our life will remain unanswered... and it seems like this is one of them 😅

It's not that hard, compared to some of Gorilla's questions this is actually easy I'd say.

I will give hints later on if there are no guesses.

Isn’t what @alexanderkass said already a hint? If so, the number you’re looking for is 42 🐱‍👤

👎 Unfortunately 42 is not correct.

There are no hints in these comments so far.

When I tested the image with a few AIs, I think only Deepseek got to 42 somehow but that's not correct.

Well, then I’m completely lost on this one unless you share a hint! Hurry up, we have to crack it before Gorilla gets home! 🏃‍♂️💨

42… The Hitchiler’s Guide to the Galaxy is the only reference I can think of. The answer to the universe and everything. I’m assuming that’s where Deepseek went.

It’s Useful to know what AI @disconnect is using though 😉

And he is home! I use everything that I feel at that time, however GPT is my favorite for quick searches.

I’m back in the car again 😆

😅

The operation is x2… ❓❓❓

No!

Mistake… 😔

that would have been too easy, @the-gorillla can I reset people's "cooldown" to answer if I give another hint? So everyone can have another guess

Whenever I add a hint, I reset the timer so that the hint is fair to everybody. So yes 🙂

Ja, I was on the wrong track. Though with the RGB codes, saw a duplication and... wrong path!
I'ld really love to know the way for finding the solution.
GREAT question!

The solution was to check with a color picker each background color and get the RGB values and simply multiply these 3 numbers.

You'd multiply for the first 3 backgrounds and get the numbers shown in the picture doing the same for the 4th one ( where the question mark was) and you'd get the correct answer.

I had do add the math/chemistry/physics items in the background to trick the AIs, otherwise it would have been a fast and easy guess.

Both Gorilla and Adrian1999 were close with it early on, but they probably didn't think to play with the numbers a little and see it's a multiplication.

Okay, x3... 🤦‍♀️

I really thought, it was x2 but missed a number and suddenly everything was a mess... 😂

I forwarded this question to a teacher friend of mine who teaches mathematics and physics, but for some reason, he hasn't responded yet 😅

Just now he wrote to me that he hasn't looked at the question yet because he's busy and he's also not at home. I hope he manages to check before someone else answers😅

Haha, I gave it two a studied mathematics, too. No way... ;-)

I hope you're correct because I'm not seeing anything!

No, I am wrong. Got one number wrong.

Loading...

I will go for 62. This is the weight of CO2 + H2O. A chemical compound hidden in this '?'

👎 Unfortunately not the number I am looking for

Oh! Haha. I am enjoying this. Hope, soon I will get one correctly.

Of course, this is just an assumption with factorization into prime numbers.
There is also a second possible number.

👎 Not the answer I am looking for, I think you prepared the answer right when I posted another hint, check it and give it another try.

Puh, I have no idea... My head is spinning... 🧐

check the latest hint, you'll probably get it now

I think it's safe to say that it will be a while before you post another question 😆

😅

😯... 😬...

I have an idea but I won’t be home for a couple of hours to check 😊

Here comes another hint

The Math / Physics / Chemistry in the background are just to trick the AIs from getting a quick answer, otherwise some AIs get the answer in about 10 questions, maybe even less with the right ones.

Another hint comes in ~1h if there are no correct guesses

Ok, let's try a small hint.

Hint: 🎨

Also @adrian1999 and @the-gorillla are pretty close, we could say both of them are circling around the correct answer; they probably missed an OPERATION at one point.

I know what is the correct answer

It is the square root

1000034106.jpg

@the-gorillla got the correct answer :)

For anyone wondering how @the-gorillla got the correct answer, you had to get the RGB values (or HEX and convert to RGB) for each background color and multiply them to get each corresponding value.

If I were to keep them simple and without anything added on the backgrounds AIs would answer them easily.
