It has been three months since the most special day of my life, my wedding day. After almost five months, I finally found some time to share this beautiful memory with you. With the wedding, my exams, and a busy job schedule, I was too caught up to write earlier.
After dreaming about this day for more than eight years, our dream finally came true on the 31st of January. It was the happiest day for both of us. The celebration took place at Hotel Grand Palace, Hikkaduwa. Everything felt magical.
My beautician was Salon Dream Ro, Baddegama. I’m so glad I chose her, she did an amazing job and made me feel like a princess.
Our photography session started early in the morning at Gingaga Lodge, Poddala. The place was calm and more beautiful than we expected. Our photographer, Mr. Malith Deemantha, and videographer, Mr. Nuwantha from EVOKE, captured every moment perfectly. I especially want to thank Randula and Harith for being there from the very beginning. Without their support, the photo shoot would have been very difficult for me.
We reached the hotel by 9:30 a.m., and it looked stunning, decorated even more beautifully than we imagined. That place truly felt like the perfect venue for our dream wedding.
By 11 a.m., our poruwa ceremony was completed, followed by the cake cutting. The most special part? I made the wedding cake myself! It was my very first attempt, and I was proud of it.
After that, we spent the happiest time taking photos with our friends and family. It was heartwarming to meet so many loved ones after a long time. I didn’t even realize how quickly time flew.
In the afternoon, one of my cousins gave us a surprise by singing a lovely song. My little nephews also performed a sweet dance, and soon everyone joined us on the dance floor. The joy on everyone’s faces made the moment even more special.
By 4 p.m., it was time to say goodbye. It was a little emotional, but my friends, relatives, and loved ones made that farewell moment unforgettable and filled with pride and love.
