Invoke is a keyword allowing you to act with passive abilities or trigger abilities to change how they work. Invoke can be used to turn off an ability or do other things.
Invoke could theoretically be used on active abilities that can't target empty space, but you would only be able to Invoke on an empty space.
An example unit using Invoke:
Example Invoke abilities:
(Passive) Abilities can't be cast through this location. Invoke to toggle between on and off.
(Magic, Trigger) Enemy Unit: At the end of your opponent's turn, target moves 1 space in the direction of this unit. Invoke to toggle between pull and push.
(Passive) Abilities can't be cast through this location. Invoke to allow allies to ignore this passive next turn.
(Magic, Trigger) Enemy Unit: Instantly poison this target at the start of your turn for 2 turns. Invoke to destroy this target next turn instead.
(Trigger) Unit: At the start of your turn, swap places with target unit. Invoke to also enchant target unit for 2 turns.
(Magic, Trigger) Unit: Enchant unit for 1 turn. Invoke to only allow allies to be enchanted by this ability for 2 turns.
(Passive) Minions may not land on this location. Invoke to make this passive apply to all units for 5 turns.
