Contest| The ways to Reduce Poverty in my area | 24-04-21

Today's topic made me feel little emotional when i researched about it . It's about the ways how to reduce poverty in our country.

Introduction

Poverty means the people living under the average scale of enough basic needs. The basic needs are :

1. Food and dress
2. Residence
3. Education
4. Security
5. Treatment

But a major part of our population is deviated from getting the basic needs because of money. Some of them are for not getting food and shelter. Poverty has now taken a major problem for our society. If one part of our society is poor then we can't develop our society. Now a days, the rich are becoming more rich and the poor are becoming more poor. A country can't develop by keeping it's citizens lack behind. If we want development then we have to reduce poverty from our country. But I can't alone change everything . Everyone's help will make this come true. The reason behind poverty is joblessness. The reason behind joblessness is illitaracy and the reason behind illiteracy is family indigestion. Now, let's talk about the main reasons of poverty :

Education

We all know, Education is the backbone of a nation. But the percentage of educated people in our society is 60% which is not enough to build a self-reliant nation. Uneducated parents don't even care about their children because of poverty , they send them to work to earn money.

Food and shelter

We eat food to survive and take shelter to save from disasters. But the people those who don't have these due some reasons they can't even think about their future. Their life loses the values of living in the world. They are dying without food and shelter . They has to beg for a meal . Their nights are passing by in lanes. In some cases, the riches are embezzling even the little resources from the poor. So the poor are becoming more poor and the rich are becoming more rich. They mostly suffer in the rainy season and the winter. Life becomes hard for them.

Unemployment

Unemployment is one of the biggest cause of poverty. Uneducated people face lots of problem in finding jobs.l They can't even create their own business. They sit isle at home and become the burden of our society. Unemployed people can't make take part in developing our country . Unemployment makes people to choose the wtong way the start doing robbery,high jacking, kidnapping and other bad works.

Initiatives that can be taken to reduce poverty in my area:

1. Educating them

Most of the children in my area is not attending school. They are working hard for a little money which is not good . I can provide them books and take classes for them . I can take their class in every afternoon or manage a teacher for them who will teach them everyday . The teacher will be paid from the area's funds. I can supervise the whole work that the works are done properly or not.

2. Inspiring them about education

Many of them still don't know what would be the benefits of education. I can go to the slums and teach them the importance of educating their children. education can change their future. It is the only way by which they no need to be poor anymore.

3. Creating Work Place

The unemployed people those who don't have money to start a business or to start a job. I can apply to the government to help them by giving micro loan with low interest . By that they can start a small business. After becoming self-reliant they will pay the money back.

4. Inspiring man and woman both for work together

If men and women work together then poverty will be reduced more. Because if both are the earning persons in a family then the would have a good financial support. The woman those who are uneducated but they can do small businesses by taking training .

5. Food

As it is month of Ramadan i can arrange Iftar for them every evening by collecting money. If can arrange a single meal for them then it would be a big help.

6. Clothing Donation

We all have old clothes at home . I can make a box where everyone can donate their clothes for them . Because they don't have that money to buy new clothes. Then i will reach the clothes to them.

7. Shelter

Managing shelter for then is not that easy but i can apply to government to give them shelter. Without home they can't survive. Their nights will pass in streets and they will face too much difficulties every moment.I need to list the people those who don't have their homesand then the city corporation will help to build houses for them.

8. Creating Special Training Center for Primary Educated People

The people those who have completed only primary education they can take special training and go for works in garments factories. Bangladesh has a leading role in the world for garments. So, job is mostly available usually there.

9. Free Health Campaign

There are doctors in my relatives , i can ask them for free medical check up in every week. I hope they will help me to ensure their life.

10. Creating Charity

Me and my friends collect money from people to help with money. The much amount will be collected from people. We will take that to them every month . By that i can at least support them a bit.

To take off the roots of poverty we all need to work for the poor people around us. So that's all for today i hope i am able to touch your heart . And i tried my best to find the ways out for them .
