**HYDROPHORE SYSTEM**

Majorly, one of my primary aim is to impact knowledge through my posts. Remembering a purpular saying that says; "NO KNOWLEDGE IS LOST".
Perhaps this can inspire the young onse to venture into the marine sector as a marine engineer.

There is this other saying that states; "Dispose not thy little begining". To Engineer David, this is one of his little beginnings and i must confess he has really exceeded my expectations owing to the fact that this was his first ever itch to have worked onboard ship.
On this day, David tooknit upon himself to carry out this task on his own under my supervision.

Vhanhing of Hydrophore Filters is a daily routine task onboard as it aids in maintaining vlean and portable water onboard. This is exactly what David did.

WHAT IS HYDROPHORE SYSTEM

In order to supply a building or facility with a steady and dependable water pressure, a *Hydrophore System—also referred to as a Hydrophore Pump or Pressure-Boosting System—uses a combination of pumps, tanks, and valves

COMPONENTS OF HYDROPHORE SYSTEM

1 . Pumps: Typically centrifugal pumps, which provide the necessary pressure boost.

Tanks: Usually stainless steel or fiberglass, which store water under pressure.
Valves: Control the flow rate of water that goes into and out of the system.
Pressure Sensors: Monitor the system pressure and activate the pumps as needed.

HOW HYDROPHORE SYSTEM WORKS:

Water Supply: Water is fed into the system from a municipal supply or other source.
Pump Activation: When the pressure in the system drops below a setpoint, the pressure sensor activates the pump.
Pressure Boost: The pump boosts the water pressure to a higher level, typically between 10-30 bar.
Water Storage: The wayer that is pressurized is stored in the tank.

Hydrophore system is generally used onboard all ship as it is reliable in such a way that it increases supply of water even to a high building that gravity fed system.
It also improve dire fighting capability in the case of fire break out.
