Today's Memories @zulbahri

Today is one of those ordinary but little real memory that I will never forget. We spent an uneventful afternoon with an old friend in a coffee shop amidst rice fields. The rural countryside, gentle breeze and calm sounds from nature truly made one heart feel light and mind clear.

We were under the shade of a haveli and had our cup of black coffee, a glass of water. Our conversation was seamless, coming from stories of old to where each other was at in life and aspirations approaching future. Though we are miles apart in time it still feels like there is no distance between us. Alongside laughter and jokes crept into our conversation like a frequenter of days gone by when you would often hang out.

In the distance, another guest was taking some leisure in a bamboo hut soaking the cool view from the rice fields. Oh how true this place is for relieving the tiredness off daily routines. It reminds us how elegant life is away from everything, of the simplicity that reminds us; pausing to be grateful for the small things that are usually taken for granted.

But we immortalized this encounter by taking a photo, getting our annual reminder of a free-line encounter. You know this moments wonderful in of itself; simple yet with warmth and pure happiness. Here is to the growth of this friendship, to today memories are our fuel for next a week.

Today is not just about coffee and chat, but about a bond that continues to live even though time goes by.
