I think you are talking about Ghost'n Goblins, the prequel. And yes, this one is really hard, even in the NES port.

    ah yes, you are correct. I am speaking of the prequel. I played them both and finished one of them. Once I saw that the 2nd installment (as well as a recent 3rd one) was difficult as hell on purpose, I never really bothered to try to conquer the later installments.

      Mmm yes the series are so hard, maybe Maximo on PS2 is quite easy, but the gameplay is different.
