The Diary Game: Feeding #2 : Spaghetti and Bread for the Children

I am so thankful for the donations that comes in our church for financing another feeding program this vacation. This is our second time feeding this group of children this vacation.

Today is April 28,2025. I am starting the week with hopes to our neighborhood children. When a donation came last week, we immediately plan for a 2nd feeding program and hopefully there will be another feeding program.

I do the grocery worth 1,000.00 or approximately 125 STEEMS. I am thinking how many kilos of spaghetti for 30 children. I bought 1.5 kilos and spaghetti sauces equal to the weight of the spaghetti. The ground meat and hotdog should not be forgotten because this will add spices to I also bought spaghetti styrofoam with plastic fork for 30 pcs.

I did the preparation and cooking. Spaghetti is my favorite that is why I know how to cook it. I boiled first the 1.5 kilo spaghetti then followed by the sauce. My husband prepared the spaghetti in the styrofoam plate with 1 piece of bread. Also, there is a pack of juice per child.

We have a short program before distribution of spaghetti. We prayed for the opening of the program. Then we do some action song that I taught them last week. I give the story telling task to my friend Jerame to let her experience teaching little children.

The youngest among all is my daughter, 1 year old and the eldest is 12 years old. A total of 30 children came including the late comers.

After the story telling, I taught them some games. Since we have limited space, I only chose the simple games. I taught them how to pray first before eating.

My churchmate helped us to distribute the food package. I am just amazed about the cooperation in every member, and it is very organized during distribution even without my instructions. They have the positive outlook also about the program.

I wasn't able to take some photos while they were eating because I am entertaining youth children. But I am happy that everytime they saw me in the road, they smiled at me.

We went home happy and satisfied. I hope there will be more programs and financial support to continue this journey.
