Bulk purchase means buying items in larger quantities that could take you for a longer time, for weeks, months or a year. These items are things you need at home like soap, detergents, foodstuff, paying utility bills that will cover a longer time and some other personal items. Bulk purchase can also be applicable in work places where materials are bought for production.
While single purchase is buying just one or a very few quantity or amount you need for the moment and going for another when next you need such items. This type of purchasers patronizes retailers shop around the neighbourhood or a smaller market where you can run to buy one matchbox or small pack of detergent that will last you for a short period of time.
I like buying in bulk because it saves me the whole stress of running to the market all the time to buy. it enables me to save from spending more on single purchases because when you buy in bulk you are sold items same price sold to retail shop owner who sells to make gain by selling at a higher price to there single purchaser.

Buying in bulk helps you focus on your other activties than running out every now and then to buy. It also keeps you stable knowing that you won't be buying those items you have gotten for a longer period.
I will advise bulk buying, especially for non-perishable goods; most times inflation happens, making you spend more as the price of items keeps increasing and this affects single purchaser more. Single purchase is time-consuming, as time used in attending to other things used for it.
When there are items at home, you won't waste that continuous time visiting the retailer's shop.

All I can say on this is budget your buying according to your income, map out cash and get what you can let it just be a little extra than doing a daily purchase. It is better than buying every two or three days, which will help you cut than spending more on purchase.
Yes the rich could go for 10bags of rice on their bulk purchase, and an average person can go for half a bag of rice rather than going for cups of rice in the retail shop which is more expensive as the retail seller is trying to also make gain
Also, keep in mind that price inflation happens and it affects the single purchaser because the retailer shop owner will implement the new price in her goods, which will also affect his/her buyers.
But a bulk buyer has no business with that until a long time when he is going to restock which is a reasonable time to have saved for any price increase.
So the only difference between the rich and average persons bulk buying is there income difference that makes the rich get more while an average person will buy according to his average income although it will be in lesser quantity.
