This contest is play as a confession........do you think so. Of course not. We at a point feel that we need to tell lie to let go of the problem or not to face the consequences. But funny enough lies can not be hidden no matter how long it might take to discover it. Even the holy book tell us that those who lie will not inherit his Kingdom. But wait oo.....can we live without lying. Sometimes we try not to buy sometimes we just find ourselves lying. We are not promoting or supporting lies but we recognize that humans lie...... through imperfection.
Let me work you through some of my mistakes or conditions where I find myself lying. Please promise me you won't judge me....will you?
Have you ever been caught telling a lie? If yes, can you recall some of those lies and how it affected you positively or negatively?
I bought a power Bank because I was having trouble charging my phone as you don't have light in our room. Since I spent most of my time at shop, I made sure I charged it full before going after closing from work. The main reason why I bought the power was for my steemit to be active because I only have time to press phone at night.
Buying the power was a bad idea......you know why? Everyone will be expecting to give them anytime they want. That was the problem I had with my guidian. When there's no light at home and he realizes that I came home with power Bank. He will ask me to give to charge at least 20% but he wouldn't allowed the phone to charge. And of course pressing and charging at the same time will only slow the charging. Most time when I want to use it for something I bought it for he will got angry.
Okay.....I came up with an idea.....guess what? I will be hiding the power Bank and when he asks I will tell him it not charge. So when I got home I will hide it and charge my phone at night till when it full, that way I won't have problem with anybody.
Positive results
With that way he didn't bother to ask about power Bank unlike before and I use it secretly the way I want.
Negative result
One day while I was sleeping, I hide the power Bank under my pillow and my phone was charging. At 12 midnight, he woke up qnd he wanted to use toilet. Instead of waking me up and ask for touch light, he grab my phone and realize the USB cord connecting to the power Bank. Oh he got me........he was like I thought you said your power Bank is not charge? So you lie to me?
From that day even the power Bank is not charge he will be like.......you know I will caught you right? It's funny though.
Does it pay to lie? Are deceitful jokes considered as lies?
Sometimes you might think lying will make the problem go away but think of what will happen afterward. What if the person find out you were lying, will he still trust you again? Lies stain good reputation, and at such betray trust. So my dear people I know that sometimes just a one lie can save you from to many questions or drama. Of course you might get away with it......no doubt. But how about the future.
But when it comes to home we already know that it can either be truth or lie just to catch cruise. So in this case deceitful joke is not a lie. For example you will some comedian, they will be like:
I went to this man house he gave me Fanta but with no bread, I watch the TV using a car as a remote. The person do this and that to him, blah blah blah but at the end they'll say...NA JOKE OO,,😂 They will try as much as possible to mixed up everything just to come up with a funny joke. This is my opinion isn't it?
Tell us your experience — The Lie that Saved you
There's this new method of stealing people phone. They act like strangers and as if they are stranded. They act like they need help but they're criminal minded. It's happened most time in a busy busy stop where someone will randomly asked for your phone to make call. You might want to help thereby handing your phone to him. In the blink of eye he disappeared into a moving vehicle........ that's how you lost it.
That's why people tend not to answer strangers when they're in the bus stop even alone the road. You don't need to let it happen to you before you learned so we're all guided.
Recently I went to the bus stop before I was late to work and this very man was looking stranded. He walked up to me and asked for my phone to make a call (my phone is in my small portable bag), but someone signaled me not to. A woman walked to me and told him, and not with a phone, but instead he wanted me to answer. So since I was confused (as he might be stranded or a scammer), I simply told him my phone was switched off. As soon as he left, the woman then explained the situation to me clearly on how they run away with people's phones.
I might have been a victim that day, but someone save me; the woman and a lie..."My phone is off" (meanwhile, my phone was on and in my bag).
A woman told a customer that the price of a product is worth 100 steem, whereas the price of that product is 80 steem. Is she lying or doing business?
When it comes to business, I can say she might be lying or doing business. Let me explain.
At first she might be lying because she knows that that product is cheaper than that, but because she wants to make more or higher profits, she told the customer 100 steemit.
Secondly, on another occasion, most customers will like to bargain the price, so if the price is 80 steem, she would tell them 100 steem...then after dragging it out, she can now sell it at 80 steem.
And on the last occasion, maybe other shops are selling it for 80 STEEM because they bought it directly from the manufacturer or they made no expenses for the product, while this woman is buying it from a distributor, and she might still pay transport to deliver the goods to her. Most times people that pack it to the truck, she must pay them; she will pay for packing space (experience from my current employment). So when selling this particular product, she will calculate the expense and then decide how much she will sell it for. That's why some shops sell higher or lower depending on how they bought it.
So to me... I will take it as maybe a lie or it's business.
Like I said, we are saying it's good to lie, but we're talking about occasions where someone has to lie to save his or her life...aren't we? A lie is a lie no matter the condition. Let's be truthful to ourselves and the person around us. It's for our own good.
I would like to invite @emishael60 @entity01 @basil60 @kidi40 to participate in this contest.*
