Explain Bulk purchase and single purchase in a layman's understanding.

I will use an example to explain single purchases and Bulk purchases. Let's say school is about to start around September. Students will need exercise books and John feels he should buy one carton of 80 leaves exercise books and share them among his four kids. His wife feels a carton is too much, she thinks that buying one or two exercise books each time she has spare cash.
Mr. John is thinking about making a Bulk purchase, while his wife wants to make a retail purchase.

Between these two which one is your favorite? And why.

I only buy retail purchases when I don't have enough money to make a bulk purchase. So, between bulk purchases and retail purchases, I prefer making a bulk purchase of the things I use at home. Buying in bulk makes it easy to restock supplies at home.

Which of these two can you advise someone to carry out ?

I would advise all who can make bulk purchases because they are more economical than buying a single purchase. The trick in bulk purchase and retail purchase is what makes the rich to stay richer and the poor poorer.
A bottle of small Coke is 300 Naira while a crate of small Coke containing 24 is 4700 Naira. This means you will be saving about 34% on each bottle if you buy in bulk. Buying in bulk will mean paying about 196 Naira per bottle.

Some people believe bulk purchases are only for the rich while single purchases is for the average person what is your take ?

I believe it is that mentality that keeps the poor in their perpetual poverty. Bulk purchase is not for the rich. It is a management strategy that saves money for those who can afford it. Managing the poor man's mentality of retail purchase is more expensive than the rich man's bulk purchase mentality.
