Hello friends

Who would say he or she has never lied since he or she was born?

Have you ever been caught telling a lie? If yes, can you recall some of those lies and how it affected you positively or negatively?

The truth stands that I have always been an honest woman and one of the things I hate is lies so I often disassociate my self from people who lie especially if lying is a part of their life style.

Because am honest, I hardly lie that doesn't mean I have not lied before. Growing up as a kid I played too much that when am sleeping I usually have dreams where am playing and I went to urinate only to wake up and find out that I actually urinated physically the bed.

This habit continued for a very long time. My younger brother and I shared the same bed while growing up but I noticed he doesn't urinate on the bed while I do.

Some times, when I wake up and discovers the bed is soaked, I will push him to that position, change my clothes and lay down on his original position and in the morning all his body will be wet so he thinks he is the one. No one knew about this except me.

One night the same thing happened but this time I didn't know my brother was fully awake so he pretended to be sleeping. I pushed him as usual and slept at his position. H e just played along. By morning he asked me how come his body is wet. Infact he was asking me in front of my siblings. I replied that I don't know maybe he urinated on the bed. I didn't know my siblings too saw me , infact they planned it together.

They all laughed at me and told me how they saw my changing my clothes at night. I felt so embarrassed and ashamed of myself. That day I made up my mind never to urinate on the bed again but did it work?

Does it pay to lie? Are deceitful jokes considered as lies?

Absolutely No! Lies doesn't pay. The moment you start lying you have to keep on lying to cover up your tracks and before you realize it, lies becomes a habit.

Whatever way you lie, it is considered as a lie. A lie is a lie, nothing makes it the truth. Therefore deceitful jokes are still lies.

The Bible even mentioned something about those deceitful jokes. He said we will give account of every idle word we speak. In the spirit realm there is nothing like "I was only joking". It is registered in your account that you made such comments.

I had to lie one time when I was in secondary school. I had a very lovely friend at that time I always visit her house and she visits mine too.

We were best of friends. We spent time together a lot. If am not in her house, she is at my house. And we attended the same school although we were not class mates because I was far ahead of her but we were age mate.

One day on our way back from school, we kept gisting as we walked on the street and I ended up following her home. I stayed at her house until it was 7pm then I left home.

On my way home that was when I remembered I was supposed to run an errand for my mom. I forgot. I started running home. When I got home I met my Dad at the gate with a very long cane ready to discipline me because I wasn't home on time.

He raised his hands to flog me and I screamed Daddy am coming from. The hospital. He stopped and asked me what happened. I quickly lied. I told him on my way home I took a bike and we were knocked down and the driver went into com, so we were all taking the hospital so I had to stay with the driver until his family arrived.

My Dad dropped the cane and hugged me. He asked me if I was affected in any part of my body I said no. He was so happy and said it's a testimony. I just went into the room and began to Thank God for saving me. But really was it God that saved me or I saved myself?

That was the lie that saved me. I told my friend the next day and she kept laughing.

A woman told a customer that the price of a product is worth 100 steems whereas the price of that product is 80 steems, is she lying or doing business?

Like I said earlier a lie is a lie however you did it. From my opinion it's a lie. People who do business that way are not been sincere. Infact there is a form of sincerity that attracts costumers.

I know a lady who is as sincere as possible. She sells her product with little profits. She said God will bless her when the time comes.

With time she was known in that locality for been upright and that alone brought more costumers. She accumulated more wealth enough for her to relocate outside.

So I don't support ingenuity because you are doing business, even the bible which is our manual of life said so.
