There was one time I went to my friends house ..
Then one of them there came out to the sitting room where we were sited just chilling and asked if I wanted sausage rolls.
I said yes... Then she gave me two of it.
I asked why she was so generous. So her brother told me that the sausage rolls were two cartons left and the expiry date was in two days. So they didn't want to throw it out.
Now, if they didn't buy it that much , it wouldn't have happened like it did. That's bulk buying. But also , this bulk buying has advantages along side it's disadvantages. In todays discussion, I'll be talking about "Bulk purchase and single purchase, which do you prefer."
Explain Bulk purchase and single purchase in a layman understanding. | • |
---|
Bulk purchase mean buying a large quantity of a product at once. Maybe in carton or gallons. Most often at a discounted price. Businesses and firm/company do this in order to stock up enough. But individuals who wish to stock up items in thier homes also do this. So they won't run out of supplies.
Single purchase, on the other hand, is when someone , business, firm, etc buys just one item at a time. This is more common for a single persons while carrying out thier everyday shopping or when someone only needs one of an item.
Between these two which one is your favorite? And why. | • |
---|
I don't really have preference because I carry out both, depending on the nature of the item. If I want to buy perishable items, items that do not last for long. I do single purchase on those items. Because if I buy them in bulk, I might not be able to use all, they'll perish and my my money would be lost. But also, I do single purchase on items that are not perishable. Even if I would need to buy another one the next day, but because I don't have enough money yet to buy them at once. I buy singly.
After all I have said ,you might think that I prefer single or my favourite is single purchase. But "NO" I also like Bulk purchase. But for the fact that I don't have enough money to be buying in bulk. Let's me keep Sticking with my SINGLE PURCHASE
Which of these two can you advise someone to carry out ? | • |
---|
The advice I have is that depending on what your hand can carry, your capabilities. You can either go for Bulk or single purchase.
Let me advice people based on the kind of items that are suitable for Bulk Or Single Purchase
Bulk
When buying in bulk, you have to considering the nature of the item. Items that are non-perishable are suitable for bulk purchase because they can be stored for an extended period of time without spoiling.
Some examples of items that can be purchased in bulk include: Electronics, Dry food like; garri, rice ,beans, office supplies, Scholl supplies, etc
SINGLE
Items that are suitable for single purchase are typically perishable goods . They cannot be stored for a long time.
Some examples of items that are commonly purchased in single quantities include: Fresh Vegetables, dairy products, small. Bakery items, etc.
Even non- perishable items that do not just require bulk purchase because of seasons and time can be purchased singly. Take for example you cannot purchase clothing materials in bulk unless you want to sell it. If you intend to wear all , you might outgrow them in no time.
Unless you have the money to live a luxurious life.
In all, the suitability of an item for bulk or single purchase will depend on individual preferences and needs. Some items can be bought in bulk for convenience and cost savings, while others may be purchased in smaller quantities for freshness or variety.
Some people believe bulk purchase is only for the rich while single purchase is for average person what is your take ? | • |
---|
I believe that the saying that bulk purchases are only for the rich is a misconception. Yes, it's true that bulk purchasing can require a larger initial investment, it can often save money in the long run. But average people can also choose to buy in bulk to save money on items they use frequently. The decision to buy in bulk or make single purchases should be based on individual needs and budget, rather than societal perceptions of wealth.
