STILL FAITHFUL

"BUT THEY HAD NO CHILD, because Elizabeth was barren, AND THEY WERE BOTH WELL ADVANCED IN YEARS."
Luke 1:7 (NKJV)

In this account of Zechariah and Elizabeth, they were both said to be righteous and blameless, walking in the commandments of God; yet, they had no child (Luke 1:5-7).
A believer can be faithful; living right and be diligent in his or her assignment in the Kingdom and still has a major need or challenge in his or her life (Luke 1:6,7).
Whatever you might be going through, do not allow the need in your life to stop or hinder you in your spiritual exercises and whatever you ought to do, regarding the assignment given you to do in the Kingdom.
A need in your life should not stop you in whatever you are doing in God's vineyard; at the right time, the appropriate time, the due time, you will be remembered for good and your need would be met (Proverbs 23:18). Zechariah and Elizabeth did not allow their major need, fruitfulness, to weigh them down and become unfaithful in their assignment in God's vineyard.

God has not forgotten nor forsaken you (Hebrews 6:10), He will surely grant that legitimate desire of your heart. Remember, as many who had delays in child bearing in the Bible, they all eventually had glorious children. The child given to each of them was special: Hannah had Samuel who was a judge and a prophet; Elisabeth had John the Baptist who was the forerunner of Jesus Christ; Sarah had Isaac who was one of the patriarchs of Israel; Manoah's wife had Samson who was a judge in Israel; and a host of others.
Be steadfast in your commitment in following Christ Jesus, and be faithful in whatever you are assigned to do in God's Kingdom. And If you are not serving in God's Kingdom yet, I will implore you to find something to be doing in your local church or fellowship, or wherever you had the opportunity to serve: "THEREFORE, MY BELOVED BRETHREN, BE STEADFAST, IMMOVABLE, ALWAYS ABOUNDING IN THE WORK OF THE LORD, KNOWING THAT YOUR LABOUR IS NOT IN VAIN IN THE LORD" (1 Corinthians 15:58 NKJV). When you sacrifice your time and all that you have for God, you are into a covenant, or a deal, with Him. He will surely reward you, He will not let you down.
Peace.
