Suddenly, without warning, boom! A shower of plaster fell like angry snowflakes. People looked at the floor and thought, "Is it snowing? In April? In the hall?"
They called the neighborhood "expert"—the one who fixes everything from electrical outlets to broken hearts—and he arrived with his ladder as shaky as a soap opera. He climbed with the face of a resigned hero and a tool that seemed more decorative than functional.
From above, the plaster fell with style. Watch out below! One of those pieces almost became a knife. The floor began to look like the set of a disaster movie... but with an echo.
Meanwhile, outside, the city went about its business. No one imagined that an epic battle was taking place inside that elegant doorway: Man vs. Spiteful Ceiling.

Todo iba bien en el edificio... hasta que el techo decidió que ya era suficiente. Después de años soportando humedad, grietas y promesas incumplidas de reparación, simplemente dijo: “¡Hoy no más!”
De repente, sin aviso, ¡pum! Una lluvia de yeso cayó como si fueran copos de nieve con mal genio. La gente miraba al suelo y pensaba: “¿Está nevando? ¿En abril? ¿En el hall?”
Llamaron al “experto” del barrio —ese que arregla desde enchufes hasta corazones rotos— y llegó con su escalera más inestable que relación de telenovela. Subió con cara de héroe resignado y una herramienta que parecía más decorativa que funcional.
Desde lo alto, el yeso caía con estilo. ¡Cuidado abajo! Uno de esos pedazos casi se convierte en arma blanca. El suelo empezó a parecer el set de una película de catástrofes... pero con eco.
Mientras tanto, afuera, la ciudad seguía su rutina. Nadie imaginaba que dentro de ese portal elegante se vivía una épica batalla: Hombre vs. Techo Rencoroso.
El final aún no llega, pero una cosa es segura… el techo no olvidará, y el yesero tampoco.
