Have you ever opened your steemit platform to write about something and then stop mid sentence and ask yourself if what you're about to write worth noting??
This happens to me a lot, but I'm learning that the way out of this predicament is appreciating the mundane things of life and also in the mastery of story telling - what angles can you see from it?
I think this determines ultimately how you'll tell your story.

I won't talk much about my experience with Easter because after church and co directing an Easter celebration video, I went straight home and had a good sleep. You can watch the edited video via this link.

It was such a funny video, yet the message passed was clear and precise. My folks kept wondering and asking me why I had come home early 😁
I think sometimes, the bones just get weary and want to stay at one place for a while.
Anyways, it's still easter Monday and I didn't have anything planned other than the usual, unbeknownst to me, my mum had.
She's starting her chicken brooding business again after a 3 year break and it's time to get things in order for the chicks.
For those who don't know what a chicken brooding business is, it's essentially a poultry farmer who raises birds for sale. She buys them at 1/2 weeks old and feeds/trains them till they mature enough to be sold in the market, but like I said, first things first, so let's get down to it.

Her hen pen had been abandoned for the time she was away from brooding so naturally that is the first place to start.

We're going to be sorting through all this debris, moving them out of this pen to create space and then piling them away. It is a gruelling task lifting several 50kg sacks of sawdust and other things but slowly and surely, the pen begins to take shape.
You can see me scooping out sawdust and doing some other heavy liftings in the pictures below

I wasn't the only one working as my sister was also helping out. Before we started working, my mum had called a plumber to come check our pipes. A friend of my brother had accidentally broken one of the pipes at the backyard when he was helping to weed out grasses a few weeks ago and as a result of this we couldn't open and leave our water tank for an extended period of time because the water was leaking out en masse. This wasn't a good situation as we started pumping water more frequently and always turning the water pipe knob here and there. I feared it would be a bigger disaster if the water knobs were to break hence the need for the plumber.
He came, checked everything, gave my mum an estimate to fix it, and then went to get his tools.
He came back while we were cleaning the pen and set to work as the pictures below show.
He was even able to get my mother's attention and they started chatting while he worked, this made my sister and I burst out laughing as my mum had been very serious with work some minutes earlier but I can understand this sentiment as there's a saying that a visitor should always be made to feel welcome.

After this I got back to work as the hot afternoon sun had come out fully and i could feel my energy for the work declining. We worked till some minutes past 2pm and by then I knew I had had it. My eyelids were fast closing, I couldn't keep them awake, so I went in and took a nap. I slept for 1 hour and a half and then something I can't fully remember now woke me up.

Did I tell you that my mum sustained some bruises in the process??

Pretty normal news for this type of work, but what was profound was that I had methylated spirit and a cotton wool ready for it. This was the highlight 😂😂as my mum kept staring at me probably wondering where I got that from as I'm not one who's Into medication and all that.

By this time I was through with my side of the work. Let me show you the result of our labours today.

Now we move to the next phase but it will be too much for just one post to carry, so hopefully, I'll keep you updated about how things re going.
Oh, by the way, I witnessed a beautiful sunset from my backyard as the night wore in. It was a sight and had a calming effect on me.
