Honestly, I have always believed it is something everyone has. Like a tune stuck in your head but ever-changing given the circumstances. Drawing off of cultural influences seeming to compel action. Never does the drum stop but at times it may be barely audible or merge itself with other melodies.
The beat is what gets me up each day. Drives me to be in a perpetual state of unrest yet harnessed it is also my motivation. It is the thing which keeps me from letting up but can also be the thing which breaks my focus.
