My parents never said or pretend being an adult is fun. One of my grandmothers, like most adults, always said: The childhood is the best time of your life. I doubt anyone in the Netherlands will ever say being an adult is great. I wonder if that wasn't what you thought as you were send to bed or out to do a task?

My childhood was definitely not the best time of my life. I had more responsibilities, including cooking, cleaning, raising siblings, being beaten up and doing the bookkeeping in between and somehow in between I went to school.

If it comes to it adulthood is way better. No one tells me what to do and if I sweat or suffer it's for me and not some lousy parents.

Who cares about Easter. It's just a date and you can celebrate it any time or celebrate before you visit work or afterwards. It saves you breaking your brain about paying bills. You also have the plus that you are not married and kick 7 children in this world you can't afford.

Take care of yourself first, make sure you have some savings it makes life way easier.
