One day around 1998, one of my bosses, a senior journalist, came to visit Lhokseumawe from Banda Aceh. I, who didn't like black coffee, took him to a coffee shop in Lhokseumawe City.

Now, when I have also become a coffee connoisseur, I don't need other people's references to sip coffee.

Someone recommended Warkop Atra located on Jalan Sukaramai, Lhokseumawe. I took the senior journalist to Warkop Atra and that night he called the deputy editor-in-chief again who said he had found delicious coffee in Lhokseumawe City.

That incident is still fresh in my memory even though 27 years have passed. Warkop Atra I visited again three days ago. Actually, I don't miss the coffee, but the very distinctive egg bread.

The bread is toasted and smeared with a little butter. Then on top are placed two half-boiled eggs. When mixing a little salt and pepper, the taste is really impressive!

I went to warkop Atra while buying Padang rice which is also available there. In the past, there was no Padang rice at Warkop Atra. The favorite menu there was only coffee and egg bread.

While enjoying coffee milk and egg bread, I heard stories from several visitors about the meeting agenda with their friends. The visitor of warkop Atra was half scolding his friend for not knowing the location of Warkop Atra. "In fact, Atra has been famous since 1978," he said in a loud voice so that I could hear him.

For a glass of coffee with milk and a plate of egg bread, I paid Rp27,000 or the equivalent of 6 #steem. At warkop Atra, various types of juice and cakes in large sizes are also available. The taste is very delicious because it is made from quality ingredients.

Warkop Atra yang Melegenda Sejak 1978

Suatu hari sekitar tahun 1998, seorang pimpinan saya, wartawan senior, datang berkunjung ke Lhokseumawe dari Banda Aceh. Saya yang kurang menyukai kopi hitam, membawanya ke sebuah warung kopi di Kota Lhokseumawe.

Wartawan senior yang penikmat kopi itu, tidak berkomentar apa-apa. Tapi ketika balik ke kantor dan ia menelepon wakil pemimpin redaksi, ia berkomentar tentang cita rasa kopi yang seperti air bekas cucian piring.

Saya merasa tidak nyaman. Lalu bertanya kepada penikmat kopi di Lhokseumawe. Di mana warung kopi yang nikmat. Pada masa itu, jumlah warung kopi dan kafe di Kota Lhokseumawe tidak sebanyak sekarang.

Kalau sekarang, ketika saya juga sudah menjadi penikmat kopi, saya tidak membutuhkan referensi orang lain untuk menyesap kopi.

Ada yang merekomendasikan di warkop Atra yang terletak di Jalan Sukaramai, Lhokseumawe. Saya membawa wartawan senior tersebut ke warkop Atra dan malamnya ia kembali menelepon wakil pemimpin redaksi yang mengatakan dia sudah menemukan kopi yang nikmat di Kota Lhokseumawe.

Kejadian itu masih segar dalam ingatan saya meski sudah berlalu 27 tahun. Warkop Atra kembali saya kunjungi tiga hari lalu. Sesungguhnya, saya bukan rindu dengan kopinya, melainkan dengan roti telur yang sangat khas.

Roti dipanggang dengan matang dan diolesi sedikit mentega. Kemudian di atasnya diletakkan dua telur setengah matang. Ketika mencampurkan sedikit garam dan merica, rasanya sungguh berkesan!

Saya ke warkop Atra sambil membeli nasi padang yang juga tersedia di sana. Di masa lalu, belum ada nasi padang di warkop Atra. Menu favorit di sana hanya kopi dan roti telur.

Ketika menikmati kopi susu dan roti telur, saya mendengar cerita sejumlah pengunjung tentang agenda pertemuan dengan kawannya. Pengunjung warkop Atra itu setengah mengomeli kawannya karena tidak tahu lokasi warkop Atra. “Padahal Atra sudah terkenal sejak 1978,” katanya dengan suara keras hingga saya bisa mendengarnya.

Untuk segelas kopi susu dan satu piring roti telur, saya membayar Rp27.000 atau setara dengan 6 #steem. Di warkop Atra juga tersedia berbagai jenis juice dan kue dalam ukuran besar. Rasanya sangat nikmat karena dibuat dari bahan berkualitas.

Kalau berkunjung ke Lhokseumawe, sesekali singgahlah di warkop Atra khusus untuk menikmati roti telur. Warung kopi ini sudah buka mulai pukul 07.00 – 21.00 WIB.

Sebagai warkop yang sudah melegenda, banyak pengunjung setia di warkop Atra. Sebagian besar mereka ada penikmat kopi yang sudah berusia lanjut. Namun, ada juga remaja yang sudah mendengar kisah tentang warkop Atra di Lhokseumawe.[]
