I welcome you to our first weekly report of the Steemit Learning Challenge Season 24 Week 1, organized by the Team Wordsmiths. This was the first week of the challenge, and as expected, a few participants made a few mistakes.
They did not read the rules thoroughly and therefore lost some crucial marks. Ten of them posted in other communities against the rule of the contest, which said, "Post on your blog," and some of them overshot the word limit or posted more images than asked for. However, we ignored the entries with 100 words or so, but the ones that went over 500 or even 1500 were not acceptable. We deducted their marks for that.
The challenge post had clearly written the rules, yet a user used AI, whom we have warned officially. We have mentioned it on his post and datasheet with screenshot.
Participation Statistics
This week, we received a total of 58 entries, and we consider 57 valid, even if 10 of them received lower marks for not following the rules fully, especially for posting in other communities that we marked as NC, or one entry with a high percentage of AI use.

Conclusion
We consider the Steemit Learning Challenge Season 24 Week 1 a success, and most participants did justice to the prompt provided by our team. Here I would like to say that if you think that working on a fictional story is an easy task, then it is not so. When you write fictional stories, no stage of this process is easy.
And if you are writing a prompt-based story, then it is even more difficult because you are fulfilling someone else's imagination because in this type of fictional story, the author moves forward with the help of our prompt instead of creating his own characters.
But there are ways to complete it, and if you can complete this challenge, then you are a winner. That is why we chose fictional story writing as the subject of our challenge, and we are happy that we met this challenge. I am here with a hearty thank you to all contributors for their quality stories.
The number of entries shows that the participants displayed their skill in writing in Fiction Niche, and we are hopeful the number of participants will increase in the coming weeks.
Our team did their best evaluation based on set criteria of content: story setting and word-building, originality, formatting, presentation, uniqueness, and, of course, rule-following. It was not easy, but we selected our top 6 winners purely based on points obtained.
The Winners of the Week

Congratulations to the winners for their efforts, imagination, and story-building ability.

Meanwhile, when everyone on the ship regained consciousness, everyone started to get scared again. The next day, when the leader and the two told their representative everything, they started to see the matter as very complicated.
