If there is actually something that have recently gained massive attention recently, I will say it is the innovation of artificial intelligence. In recent years, the voice have been ampliefid and it is really evident. In fact, it looks like without AI now, the digital world is quite limited. I personally have seen how AI have been able to enhance communication and generally productivity in what we do. Some people are always saying AI will not last but that is not true. Whether we like it or not, AI is definitely here to stay. The earlier we see it that way, the better.
But sometimes, I still get to wonder as what was the initial idea behind the creation of AI. Is it meant to do more good to us or more harm most especially when you see the side effects that it is capable of offering in our digital space presently as it is getting so rampant. The truth is the main purpose of AI been created originally was to help reduce the task carried out by humans and to make work faster.
As many of us know, Artificial intelligence function on making use of data that helps it to function effectively. I generally believe that AI was created to support the Human world and not to destroy it. Talking about the tremendous impact that AI has presently in the world of digital space, I will say it is many. With AI, the rate at which people access information have become much more easier and it has make security system much more better than it should be. Take for example the aspect of chat-GPT, with chat-GPT, it has helped to improve how contents are been created.
I personally make use of chat-GPT when I want to create content for my channel and trust me, it always helps me out. For me, I believe Nigeria as a country is not only consuming AI but we are making use of it for our development all around. But at the same time just as I said earlier, we can not ignore the fact that AI have some negative side effects that sometimes we always pretend nothing is wrong.
One of the negative side of AI is the fact that it is affecting the privacy of information and in fact raising the rate of online scams. Recently I came across an AI tool that can mimic another person character. Trust me, this is opening the door for scams and the earlier we understand this, the better it will definitely be. In fact, AI is making a lot of people lazy because a lot of people are just depending on it which should not be so. You should make use of AI but it should not make you lazy. Instead it should help you to be creative and make your work faster.
For me if I have the power to stop AI, I will not stop it because whether we like it or not, it is here to stay. I think the main issue lies in people been enlighten to know the role of AI and also to know their role. They should make use of artificial intelligence but in a more positive manner and not in the negative way. For me I am seeing AI been around for many years to come as this is just the beginning. In fact, for my country Nigeria, I believe we have the voice and ability to enhance the development of AI all over the world.
