Contest: Weekly Diary game for week 18 of 2025/ A very stressful day at the farm today

Today was very hectic because I did many work today.

I will be going back to school next week, so I need to make garri before going.

So I woke up as early as possible because our farm is very far from my 🏠 house.

I don't like going to the farm alone, so I went with my three beautiful sisters.

It took us about 30 minutes before we reached the farm.

I started harvesting the cassava with my siblings, it was not easy, but I was enjoying it because it had been a long time since I went to the farm.

Two hands are always better than one; we harvested very fast because we were up to three, and my sisters are very hard-working.

After harvesting, we started going home; when we got to the house, we were very tired and weak, so I entered the kitchen to prepare something for my siblings so we could have enough strength to continue the work.

Processing of garri manually is a very big task but it was really fun.

When we were done eating, we started pilling off the back of the cassava, the pilling of cassava is the second stage after harvesting your cassava from the farm.
The pilling was very hard because the cassava was very tiny, so it made it very hard for me.

When I was done pilling it, I started washing it so I could take it to where I would ground it; after washing, I had to take it to one shop that was a bit far from my house so I could ground it.

The grounding is the third stage in the garri processing; after I was done grounding, the man who grounded it had to put the cassava inside the machine for the machine to dry the cassava very well.

I waited for the man to finish this process before carrying it back to my house.

The picture you are seeing here is the fourth stage of the processing. I was separating the garri from the one that was not needed, and this was not easy because it consumed my time very well.

When I was done with this, it was now the final stage, and I was already very weak, but I had to try everything possible to finish the process today,
The last stage is frying the garri; I have to go and look for fireworks to start frying my garri.

This last stage was the worst of it all; the smoke was entering my eyes, and my hands were paining me seriously, but I kept on pushing.

Then, finally, I was done, and my. garri was ready for consumption.

This is how I spent my day today. It was very stressful, but the result was very beautiful. And. I really enjoyed the experience I had today.
