Greetings in this week's edition of pick a word, paint a story which is a contest organize by @senehasa, I will be publishing my participation with the chosen word "Food" and I will like to invite @solaymann, @ahlawat & @azit1980

Food

---

Good morning sir said John a poor peasant who just graduated from high school and and who have been searching for a job in other to save up some cash to pursue his dreams of going to college

Mr Brown - good morning, how can I help you?
John - please sir I was just passing by with my friends yesterday when I saw a vacancy notice for a cashier, so I was wondering if you would check out my CV.
Mr Brown - Hell I remember you, you were those gees my son was talking about, where's my sons phone

Mr Brown started dragging John in the shop but John managed to run out, to the corner where his friends were waiting Josh and Sam, John told them everything and they were all laughing at John

Note

^{John and his friends are orphans who just managed to go through high school, but have been struggling in the street a lot and have been into some bad shit.}

The next morning John was tired cause he was hungry and dripping, so Josh and Sam came were just outside trying to figure out what to do in other to have a meal.

Josh - men I'm tired of this life
Sam - I feel like robbing some dude
Josh - smile's
Sam - I'm serious
Josh - I know but how do we start
Sam - I know a way
Josh - they know us in this neighborhood, there's no way we're going to pull that off
Sam - trust me

John walks in on them shake both their hands and joins them to sit in other to hear what they were discussing

John - watsup bro
Sam - have been thinking, maybe we are the cause of our problem
Josh - ohh God
Sam - yesterday I saw my long time classmate pulling up in a car smoking 🚬 big cigar, I got his number so I know where to start
John - I don't understand
Sam - don't worry I will explain on the road, let's roll

The three of them went to meet Caesar who was a street lord and a drug dealer that have been making huge amounts of money in his illegal business, Caesar was happy to see them so he welcome them as well as their proposals to join his business.

Caesar took them in change their clothes and gave them food, they were happy but something was coming, they were given some few loads of caine (cocaine) to distribute which of course took them out to the street.

---

Sometimes they roll together and sometimes they roll separately so as to cover more grounds, their lives were changing for good, John had his own apartment and started saving up, Josh and Sam were all tight and rolling carrying fly girls and enjoying their night life.

---

So one day they roll out separately as usual to make some sells, Josh and Sam were together so they both went to the south street not knowing that it's the enemies tuff, and as both of them were making some deals and transactions near some traffic they were spotted by other gang who immediately pulled up and blast them with series of rounds (gun shot).

John who went to the East side was on the low approaching cars as usual making sells, then some black SUV pull up John didn't know that it was the police he went near try making deal and boom he was arrested with the drugs

The young ambitious nigga didn't see it coming and few days in cell he was sent to prison, though Caesar came visiting who disclose the news about Sam and Josh, John was speechless.

---

In prison he couldn't stop crying and the only thing he kept saying was that he tried stopping them, John regretted everything and worse his dream of going to college was far behind him, he had to accept his fate because he knew that he was in the wrong track of life.

And all they ever wanted was to be able to afford "Food", because hunger in the street was too much for them to hear
