Introduction |
---|
The world of crypto has always been that of high and low trends and steemit is no exception. For someone like me who have seen both, I’ve learned to see beyond the short term market.
In this post, I’ll be touching on several topics on steem and before going ahead with it, let me invite @bossj23, @Joan-na and @humblecyril to be part of the challenge.
What you thinking about market? If the price of STEEM suddenly goes up (for example from $0.40 to $0.50 or more), what would be your plan? Will you power down, sell some, or increase your STEEM Power? |
---|
For me, powering down has never been an option. People that joined steemit in the early days would know the kind of influence people with high S.P wield compared to what it is now. It was just so easy for those whales and dolphins to get rewards even without saying anything. So, I’ve always wanted to have such influence like them that’s why it hardly crosses my mind. But in recent times, a lot of that change. Now I see everyone from whales down to plankton make beautiful post now.
Apart from that, the new innovation they did by introducing different clubs to encourage people to power up have even made it so difficult to even think of powering down my steem because there is something in my steem reserve for me to use incase of any skyrocketing in steem value.
When the market turns bullish, does your motivation to write on Steemit increase or remain the same? What new goals do you set during such times? |
---|
To be honest, I think i have passed that stage of where my motivation is tied to steemit rewards now because for someone like me who saw steem value at 9$ and SBD at around 12$-13$, i don’t think 0.40 to 0.50 will be able to shake me for now. Unless of course, it gets very high again then i might actually be motivated.
But at this moment, what really demotivates me is when I don’t have any interesting topics to write on or I’ve ran out of ideas but to overcome this, i try to set goals for myself by going through contest organize by @disconnect looking for topics I can relate with easily. Maybe in a week, I can do like 2-3 contest just to keep my blog busy rather than leaving it months without writing anything
In your opinion, if STEEM price rises, what kind of opportunities and challenges might new users face? Should they invest during that time? |
---|
If STEEM prices rise again, I can bet you, crowd will rush from north, south, east and west. That’s how the market have always been right from time. Bull run tends to bring in both investors and opportunists.
- Opportunities.
In situations like this, newbies tend to earn more from their post and if they are wise enough is one of the best time to grow there steem power faster.
Another opportunity is that it brings more visibility to the platform because during this period you don’t need to preach so much to invite people to join the platform. Your account balances will do all the talking for you.
- Challenges
The downside of this price pump in Steemit is that it will attract a lot of people who want to cash out within that short period and leave the system. I know this because I use to be one of them. You will hardly see new users do power up because they don’t understand the system well. Anything beyond that—like curation rewards from posts—they care less about.
Another challenge that are likely to come up is that people who invested during the hype and didn’t make any profit or loosed enough cash will be scared of investing again in the future.
What is your current contribution to help STEEM grow? How are you supporting the ecosystem through content, curation, or promotion? |
---|
Little way I’ve contributed is by promoting steemit and bringing in some few friends of mine like @lovelystar and @diary-of-ima. Although they are no longer active again due to one reason or the other. I’ve also tried to bring up the discussion to some old friends of mine that started steemit with me years ago in 2017. We still have our @euronation WhatsApp group were we do more of airdrops and share idea on investment opportunities in cryptocurrencies.
Other ways I support the Steemit ecosystem is through;
- creating engaging content
- Powering up on a monthly basis and
- Curating people’s work so that they can feel that love of been a steemian.
I'm marred to see your growth on the steemit platform and the consistency you put in place to ensure you create original and quality posts on the platform and you keep igniting your wallet. The crypto space has exposed us and this has been all possible through steemit. Thanks the invite

Actually 1 steem remains 1 steem no matter what the value is. I need 5000 steem to be a dolphin. How can I get those 5000 steem? When will I buy? If I pay 7 euros for 1 steem or 0.11 cents?
I go for the 0.11 which gives me more steem for 1 euro!
If I buy high it means I only lost and that is what many did as well besides of being robbed/hacked.
Happy writing.
