I am @hudamalik20 from Pakistan. I hope you all are doing great in your life. Today, I’m going to share my daily diary with you all. I hope you are all doing well. The last two days weren’t good for me at all, but today I’d like to share what happened on Thursday and how it all unfolded.
It all started two nights ago when I went for a walk with my family near our house. As we were walking, I sat down on a small sitting area in front of one of my friend’s houses. It was dark and there wasn’t much light around. As I casually placed my hand down, I felt something bite me sharply. At that moment, I had no idea what bit me, since it was too dark to see clearly.

I assumed it might have been a "temori" (a small yellow insect commonly found around here), since they often bite people. I quickly went inside the house while feeling the pain increase. Meanwhile, my family was still outside. They turned on the flashlight to check the area and to our shock, they saw a scorpion crawling near the spot where I was sitting.
My father quickly grabbed his shoe and a stick and killed the scorpion. By that time, I had already rubbed salt and water on my hand to relieve the pain, still thinking it was the "temori." But when they told me it was a scorpion , I became very scared.
My father tied a cloth tightly on my arm to stop the poison from spreading and immediately told my brother to take me to the doctor. At the clinic, the doctor quickly gave me an injection to neutralize the poison and made a small cut to release the blood and venom. It was very painful and there was a lot of bleeding, but the doctor said it was necessary to extract the poison.
After that, they gave me several injections to stop the pain and control the venom. My hand felt numb and I couldn’t feel anything. The doctor even gave me a painkiller injection in my other hand. The pain was unbearable and I couldn’t find relief even for a second.
When I returned home, I took the medicine and laid on my bed. I was trying to sleep, but the pain wouldn’t let me rest. My mother kept praying for me and reading supplications. I stayed awake most of the night, in deep discomfort. Eventually, I tightly wrapped my hand with a cloth so nothing could touch it.
In the morning, the pain had reduced a bit, but my body still felt weak. I couldn’t miss university because I had an important lecture that day. I got fresh, brushed my teeth, and asked my mother to make breakfast for me. After eating, I got ready.
I couldn’t take the bus because of the pain in my hand, so my father dropped me off at university. Before leaving, I went to the doctor again to get my dressing changed and took a painkiller injection again.
At the university, doing everything with one hand was so difficult because my left hand was bitten, and II managed to walk to my class and take my first lecture.
Since I’m also the GR (Girls Representative), I had to attend a meeting too. During the meeting, everyone noticed my hand and got really worried. They were shocked and scared hearing about the scorpion bite, but I assured them I was feeling better, Alhamdulillah.
After the meeting, I returned to my class. I couldn’t attend the second lecture due to pain, so I came home early.
At home, my younger sister made fried chips with ketchup for me, which I really enjoyed while scrolling through my mobile.
Despite the medicine, my hand still felt numb, and pain kept coming in waves. As evening came, it was time for dinner. My mom and younger sister prepared a lovely dinner, and we all ate together while listening to songs at the table.
Later at night, I completed some pending study tasks on my mobile and then offered my prayers before going to bed.
Alhamdulillah, I’m feeling much better now. Everyone who found out about the scorpion bite got very scared and showed great concern for me. But thankfully, I’m recovering, and the pain is also much less now.
Thank you for reading my diary. I hope you all take care and stay safe especially when walking in the dark.
