Explanation

---

✏️ Make a sketch that achieves the correct proportions and shape for your landscape. Feel free to choose between nature or the city (or create a combined landscape), or you can try any other landscape not explained in this challenge. Explain the steps.

^{Today I will try to present a sketch of mountains and nature to you all. Without further delay, let’s get started.}

⛰️ Step I

First, I gathered all the necessary materials. Then, using a pencil, I lightly created an outline of the mountain and the riverside on white paper.

⛰️ Step II

After that, I used a scale to draw borders at the top and bottom. Basically, I will do the entire sketch within these borders.

⛰️ Step III

Then, on the lower right side, I drew an outline of a tall but slightly curved tree. Below it, I created a wavy shape of a road. I lightly sketched the outlines of everything. Now, based on these outlines, I will begin the actual sketching.

⛰️ Step I

	Riverside part

First, I worked on the riverside part at the bottom left. Here, I corrected the outline of the riverside using a pencil and then did some shading with it. Once the riverside part was done, I shaded the water area below it.

⛰️ Step II

After finishing the riverside and water shading, I tried to add some grass shading above it.

⛰️ Step III

Then, above the grass shading, I drew three long lines with a ruler. Using those lines as a base, I shaded the trees. The first tree on the left side is a bit small. The next one on the right is slightly bigger. The one beside that is smaller again. I shaded the trees in this order.

⛰️ Step IV

	Shaded some trees

Now, I shaded the riverside outline below the distant mountains. Then, I shaded some trees there too. I sketched the trees from large to small in that area.

⛰️ Step V

More trees shades on the riverside

Then gradually I created more tree shades on the right side. I shaded many grasses along the riverside here, so it looks like the grasses are covering the riverbank.

⛰️ Step VI

Now, I added shading to a tall tree at the bottom right. I shaded the riverside in a curvy pattern. I also gave some small grass shading and created an outline of a tree. I didn’t add any leaf shading to this tree.

⛰️ Step VII

Along the riverside, I created a shaded road. I gave a light shade to the road and added some grass shading below it. Then, I carefully shaded the water with a pencil. To show the reflection of the trees under the mountain in the water, I lightly shaded that part. I used very soft shading in the water.

⛰️ Step VIII

Now, I will start shading the mountains. This part is a bit difficult for me. First, I erased the outline I had drawn earlier using an eraser. Then I carefully started shading the mountains lightly with a pencil. Among the whole sketch, this shading part feels the hardest to me. But I am still trying. I am shading very carefully using the pencil. Finally, I finished shading the mountains. I don’t know how well I could portray it. After shading the mountains, I added some curvy shapes at the top. These are basically to give a sky-like theme.

⛰️ Step IX

Now I shaded the sky above the mountain using a pencil. After shading the upper part, I lightly shaded the empty area below it as well. Finally, my entire sketch is complete.

Now I capture a photo of the sketch along with the username and tags. Here, I also take a selfie with the sketch.

Here are several photographs of my sketch. Some pictures are taken in daylight and some at night. Please do let me know in the comments how my sketch looks under both types of lighting.
