Courtyard spaces. Riverside-6

For a long time I could not agree with myself, but then I managed to form a constructive dialogue and make concessions. I decided to shoot the courtyard spaces together with the dotted dilapidated housing!

For me, it is more customary to capture entire neighborhoods with dilapidated houses that are either already being demolished, or will acquire the status of such very very soon.

But then it will be inconvenient for me to return to the same places for the sake of one or two houses in the key of another project, or then look for them all over the microdistrict.

In some places there are whole blocks with barracks, but I have not yet reached them. And I will study them separately.

But I had to capture the dotted dilapidated housing along the way, since this project depends on the time and efficiency of the work.

But I had to negotiate with myself not about this, but whether to include them in the post with courtyard spaces or then publish them separately as dilapidated?

I decided that I’m ready to take the dilapidated houses that I meet as part of the whole inner courtyard space with stone houses.

What can I do if there are houses from several eras on a small square?

In one place you can see a five-story panel building, a Stalinist barrack, a newly built apartment building and a dilapidated Khruschev barrack.

Therefore, I did not begin to divide such a neighborhood into categories and took it all for a single space, especially since I did not find any natural or mental boundaries between them.

It's another matter when dilapidated barracks form an entire quarter with its own special courtyard system with sheds, driveways, baths, vegetable gardens, which is not only the physical boundaries between multi-storey buildings, but also creates an atmosphere different from high-rise buildings.

And yet there is a grain of rationality in this.

The most important thing for a dilapidated housing is that I captured it, and not how I filed it.

Yet these states are in many ways similar and overlap with each other.

More and more often I come to the idea to show you that embryo of photographing courtyard spaces, when I not only felt something (this began to happen from early childhood), but began to try to capture it.

There is absolutely no aesthetics and the pictures will seem as disgusting as possible in content, but then I saw it that way.

Or maybe I won't show it...

Because I am now going through a certain stage - aesthetics.

Now even natural graphics look aesthetically captured by me, and in general everything strives for this, any genre.

But, I believe, it is necessary to show not only the result of selection, but the whole way...not only good, but also bad.

After all, people do not have everything perfect, everyone makes mistakes, learns, and with me everything is not always beautiful either.

So as soon as I give myself consent to publish, I mature before it, then you will see everything.
