AM I LOOSING MY STEEMIT DRIVE

As i sit on my chair, surfing through my phone for the latest trends around the world, watching skits and occupied with movies, one question keeps going through my mind asking me “what I am doing here killing my time on all these social media platforms when I’m supposed to be on Steemit creating content for my blog or participating in one interesting contest in order to increase my steem power.

Recently, my participation on Steemit has been dwindling. For instance, today, I feel fired up to engage and make post but some days, I don’t feel like even opening the site. And I ask myself, what could be the reason, what am I doing in a platform that gives me nothing and neglects the one that pays me for my content??? It only means one thing, fun is missing.

I set a target for myself to reach 7k Steem power to mark my 2 years since I returned on Steemit but with this attitude of mine, I doubt if I may get there. I wish I could rekindle that old fire i had in me when I newly returned. Back then, I wrote every day. But now, I post only 2 or 3 times a week. But look at me now, I’m not yet a whale, yet I’m writing only once or twice a week. Or has the whale in me started manifesting early? My fellow whales, please come out and answer me… 😊😊

But on a serious note, there is a lot more fun out there. Steemit is more for serious minded people which makes it less fun and entertaining. However, I noticed something interesting in today’s @disconnect contest, the introduction of games. For the unserious ones like me, this games will relieve the stress we get from both offline and Steemit, which requires you make an engaging post.

That said, I’ll love to make a little request, if a short video tutorial could be included to teach us how to play some of these games and also put into consideration, phone users when making this games because not everyone have access to laptops.

Who knows, this might be, what a lot of us need to reignite our passion back on Steemit.

Yes, sometimes I miss the fire I used to have and sometimes I'm just on the back burner here. Sometimes I'm motivated and it's fun, sometimes this platform gets on my nerves. If you don't have much drive at the moment, you're in the middle, so to speak, all good ;-)

A little fun tip, the number we looking for in this game is between 323 - 498, maybe you'd like to join in? Everyone can submit a total of two tips. I still have one free, but my crystal ball doesn't seem to be working properly for once. Let's see...

Thank you for the game.. I’ve tried my luck. hopefully, I get the numbers.

You're welcome!
Btw - your picture is awesome and could be a viral meme with the sentence:
What the hell I'm doing here? :)

You're not that unserious ;-)) And you're not wasting your time on the Steem, you're spending it here. Sometimes more of it, sometimes less. Sometimes with more enthusiasm, sometimes with less. So what?! Welcome! That's the way it has to be. And not with compulsive daily (boring) posting, with recurring stories and with a sense of obligation. Everything is just right ;-))

Keep sharing!

I agree. Steemit is a waste of time if you are jyst there because you feel forced to pen something down.

Do it the other way round. Live your life, do not waste it here.
If you did or saw something great, that baffled or whatever share it somewhere where it fits.

Film
Book
Photos
Review event or broken item
Plenty of topics/options and for sure this way what you write will e way better than you force yourself to produce post after post, the same boring diary after the next without one single comment/engagement.
