Pin & Win: Map Your World on Steem Atlas - Week 3 and Winners of Week 2

Hello everyone!

Today I am here to organize the contest for all of your travellers. We travel on a daily basis and visit different places. You are already sharing your travelling stories and experiences with us in the Travelling Steem Community but today I have a surprise for you. Now through this initiative you will be able to share your travelling experiences on Steem Atlas. It will help you to earn additional rewards.

The theme of the contest is very simple and it will be very easy to participate in the contest. Travel, Review places, and pin on Steem Atlas. You are free to pin any place as far as it is informative and adds value to the platform. There are no restrictions to review only specific places but you can review any place and add it to Steem Atlas.

Tell us about that small park where you take your evening walks, the local shop that sells your favorite snack, or that heritage spot no one talks about but everyone loves. Review it, photograph it, and pin it on Steem Atlas. Let’s put your area on the map!

How to Participate

There are no a lot of conditions to participate. Here are some simple requirements to participate in the contest.

• When you visit any place in your daily routine whether it is a shop, store, shopping mall, park, restaurant, beach, or anything then you can review that place with your experince and by covering the details of that place. Then pin the post on Steem Atlas.

• In your review include all the aspects of the place. Share the prices of the goods in the place and the tickets (if applicable) in local currency and in the STEEM and if possible in USD.

• Pin your post at the exact location of the place at Steem Atlas. Use precise description. The location should be exact and accurate.

If you do not know how to add your post on Steem Atlas then please follow this guide:

• You need to write your complete post as usual in Steemit.

• After writing it you have to follow these steps to add the location coordinates by copying from Steem Atlas map.

• Go to https://steematlas.com/

• Click on Embed Pin.

You will see a small pop up which will prompt you two options:

• Click on the map to place pin
• Use current location

Click on the map

You can zoom in to the map to find the specific place to pin your post at that place. As an example if I want to pin my post at the place Shahi Masjid then I will zoom in towards that location to choose that for my pin location.

After selecting create post I have zoom in to the Shahi Masjid which is situated in Depalpur. As soon as we select the pin location it gives us a prompt to add the description pin.

While adding the pin description add place name and the city name such as Shahi Masjid, Depalpur. Do not add irrelevant text or complete title of your post as the pin description.

Now you have the location coordinate code along with the description is in your clipboard and you have to use this code to paste in your post anywhere. I recommend to paste it at the end which helps the moderators to find it easily for the verification of the location.

Then publish your post and it will be at Steem Atlas.

Terms to follow

• Your post should be of at least 400 words.

• The title of the post should be the name of the Place, city name like Name of the university or school, city name.
  Example: King Edward Medical University Lahore.

• Use your own images. Do not repeat same images and also do not use images which are near to repeat. Label your images correctly.

• Your posts should be plagiarism and AI free.

• Use the tags in the following order #typeofplace, #city, #country #steem-atlas. For me the order of the tags looks like this #university, #lahore, #pakistan #steem-atlas.

• Invite 3 of your friends

• Comment the link of your entry under the comment section of this post and mention me somewhere in the post.

• This contest starts from Monday, April 28, 2025 and ends on Sunday, May 04, 2025 at 23:59 UTC.

• Set beneficiary to @steem-atlas to help in the growth and development of the platform.
