In order to commemorate World Immunization Week, the Head of the Aceh Family Empowerment and Welfare Movement Team (TP PKK), Marlina Muzakir, accompanied by the Deputy Mayor of Banda Aceh, Afdhal Khalilullah, visited the Integrated Service Post (Posyandu) in Beurawe Village (Gampong), Banda Aceh, Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
The activity is a form of support for increasing the coverage of child immunization. This visit was carried out as part of a joint cross-sectoral effort to strengthen public awareness of the importance of immunization in maintaining children's health from an early age.
This event is also an important momentum in encouraging the active role of Posyandu cadres and the participation of mothers in the community. At the location, Marlina witnessed the immunization process for dozens of toddlers and children, and also helped drop immunizations for them.
In her statement, Marlina Muzakir expressed her appreciation for the cadres and health workers who have contributed to maintaining the health of the future generation.
"We really appreciate the hard work of the Posyandu cadres. Immunization is not only an obligation, but a form of our love for children so that they grow up healthy and strong. The government and society must work hand in hand to ensure that no child is left behind in their basic rights," said Marlina.
She also emphasized that the immunization program must continue to be intensified, in order to prevent the re-emergence of diseases that can actually be prevented through vaccines.
This activity was also filled with child health checks, counseling for mothers, and the distribution of nutritious additional food. The local community was seen enthusiastically participating in the series of events held in the Posyandu environment.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Mayor of Banda Aceh, Afdhal Khalilullah, expressed his gratitude for the presence and support of the Aceh PKK Chairperson for the smooth running of the immunization campaign for Banda Aceh residents. He hopes that this activity will have a positive impact on the success of the child immunization program in the city.
