Yes I think so too. Looking at recent children's books, they are very easy to read. But therefore I think it may be difficult to develop their thinking by reading these books.

As to this book, the text is the same as the first edition, but the illustrations are quite modern. It's a pity because it's quite different from the image I had of this series :(
