The Diary Game [07/06/2025] // Weekend Vibes

Steem greetings, guys, from the motherland, Cameroon, and welcome to my blog for another session of my diary game. The past few days have been challenging for me to recount my daily activities because my phone is not working well, and I do not have a good phone yet to capture good images for my daily lifestyle content. I'm still thinking of alternatives before taking the phone to a recommended repairer. For now, I'm using my laptop.

That said, my day started on a good footing as I woke up feeling better and more relaxed than the previous day. My mind was at peace, but the weather was somehow hot. For the past days, it has not been raining, though this is the period of the rainy season where it is supposed to rain cats and dogs.

My husband is out of town, and it is challenging for me to take care of three kids and run my personal commitments. At times, I just sit and think about how African moms cope with household management with no assistants and still run businesses and work. We need to make a shout out to us African moms because our strength to run these chores and still work and run businesses is marvellous.

Preparing breakfast for my kids is a normal routine, but on this day, the kids refused breakfast and told me, "... Mom, you need rest". But my mind will not rest knowing that my kids haven't eaten anything yet. My 8-year-old daughter suggested that I heat water for her to prepare tea and feed her two kid brothers while I rest. I felt so good that my daughter is now taking charge, and I had a good morning rest after sleeping less than 4 hours the previous day. One could easily detect from my eyes that I worked overnight.

After the rest, I had to take a walk within the neighbourhood, meeting new faces and also promoting Steemit to them. It seemed most people within this neighbourhood are well-to-do and show little concern about joining Steemit. I had to switch and went to my husband's niece's shop to chat with her and also purchase some bathing products from her shop. When I arrived at her shop, she was so excited, and I had to use her phone to capture the happy moments with her.

We had a chat for almost an hour, and I advised her on how to run her business using my business management knowledge I acquired during my master's degree program. She was grateful for the advice and thanked me for my business management knowledge I offered her for free. She offered me a bottle of water, and I drank a bit and left her shop.

I returned home while I removed some leftover food from the fridge and microwave to feed my kids. I heated water and gave them a warm bath, and put them to siesta. While they had their siesta, I continued with my pending work to be submitted to my supervisor. I did the work till evening, as I entered the kitchen to prepare some plantain chips for myself. I usually eat chips to distract myself from sleeping as I chew while working on my laptop.

Temperature was high and my kids misplaced the remote control of the AC.

I peeled my plantains and washed them, and put them on a plate. Then poured vegetable oil into the pot and preheated it till it was ready to fry. I took my chip cutter and cut the plantains into the hot oil. My kids do not like the chips because I used unripe plantains, and it was not sweet.

After frying my chips, I had to take a cold shower to freshen up and watch some Netflix movies. It was such a cold evening as rain threatened to fall, and in the course of the rainfall, we recorded a series of thunderstorms and boom, blackouts. My day ended earlier than expected, but it was a fulfilled day as I meetup with all my expectations of the day. Until my next diary, good night from my end.

Saludos!!

Friend, there is never enough time for everything. we own the time, so we need to create time to do the things we want to do.
