Steem greetings from the motherland-Cameroon to @everyone and welcome to my blog for another session of my lifestyle content. It has been a busy weekend for me and our work day for the week starts today due to our usual Monday Lockdown imposed by separatist fighters.
I had a busy day and a tiring night the previous day. As a mother with kids at home during holidays, you can never get enough rest. I wish the weekend was longer so I could at least get some rest before work starts.
During holidays, my kids usually go to bed late and wake up late. But I had to prepare their breakfast and keep it in the flask before leaving the house. I peeled some potatoes fried them with an omelette and stored them in a flask to stay hot till they woke up from sleep.
I had a very stressful day at work with a compilation of data and analyzing the data submitted by enumerators in the field.
The level of insecurity in my town now is alarming and by 3:00-5:00 PM, it is kind of rush hour as everyone is heading home to avoid any stories that touch the heart 😔. This is unlike our vibrant town 9 years ago when everything was normal before the crisis.
Popular street food stores were already closed and most vendors had closed for the day. Walking on the street it was easy to detect that something was wrong. I quickly rushed home and was extremely tired 😩 no way I could cook dinner. I needed something quick for the kids and noodles was the easy way to go.
I so needed something fast for myself and my husband to eat for dinner. I had to go back to the street to buy some street food. I bought some fried pork with plantain spiced.
We had to prepare to watch the Champions League quarter-finals between Aston Villa versus Paris Saint Germaine. It was a decisive game to determine the teams going into the semi-finals.
I had no particular team to support but any team playing good and entertaining football, but Aston Villa had to put in a lot of work to be able to equalize the 3 goals they conceded at PSG last week.
I had no pressure as I awaited Arsenal to play tomorrow. I took a bottle of some fresh orange juice while sipping and watching the game.
I can say, the day was a fruitful one as I accomplished all my tasks for the day. We are waiting to watch Arsenal play tomorrow and hopefully, they win to qualify for the semi-finals. Until my next diary, it is goodnight from my end.
