Steem greetings from the motherland-Cameroon to @everyone and welcome for another session with my daily lifestyle content. Guys, it was a good Friday, a day commemorated in remembrance of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
This day is also declared a public holiday to enable Christians to commemorate Jesus's crucifixion with no work interruption. For security reasons, I often stay away from gatherings because of the frequent explosives in my community.
I intended to commemorate this day at home but then I had to experiment with a new kind of puff puff recipe. Most often, I prepare puff-puff with just flour, egg, milk, and bananas. This time around I did not have overripe bananas so I decided to use soya beans. I had to mix it early in the morning and allow it to rise for almost 2 hours before frying.
It took me almost 3 hours to mix, allow it to rise and fry. I had to fry it a bit darker than the normal puff puff we fry. The difference with my recipe is that it is nutritional with added soya beans, milk and eggs.
As Christians during the holy week, we do not eat meat of any kind except fish. Apparently, we are not supposed to cook food with meat. Nonetheless, I had to undo my daughter's hair and wash it using shampoo and hair conditioner. I used a hand dryer to blow dry the hair. I had to plait cornrow but this time around I'm gonna use an attachment though this will just last for the easter holiday as her school does not allow parents to do their kid's hair with attachments.
I spent almost 4 hours to complete the hair as I had to stop in between to take care of my son who was not feeling well. Also, I delayed completing the hair it was difficult for my daughter handing over the hair attachments for me to do the hair faster.
In the evening hour, I had to heat food for us to eat together as a family. I could not cook a fresh meal because my day was pretty busy. However, I had coki and boiled ripe plantain for my dinner.
Then I logged into Steemit to announce winners of the steem-Cameroon Act of Kindness contest. Then launch a new contest for the upcoming week.
The last activity for the day was to report on my weekly activities as a steem representative. Immediately I was done with that, I called it a day as I went to bed. Until my next diary, it is goodnight from my end and happy Easter Sunday in advance to all Christians.
