It's Sunday people and for those of us who Christians I hope we were able to attend services cause I did and it was awesome, I was really blessed and I share the blessings with everyone here regardless of your religion. Happy Sunday to everyone, hope you had a great day.
My Sunday, actually Sunday is a day of the week, I secretly look forward to, I guess it's because of how busy and stressing the previous day Saturday always goes. Stay with as I take you all through my day. So today I woke up early, yes I did, it's the only day of the week I've had to wake up early while on this holiday and that's because I need to prepare for church service that begins by 8:30am. So I woke up at 6:25am, said a little prayer of thanks, it's always great to see a new day and always try not to forget my prayers in the morning regardless of how short and as usual after that went to the bathroom to ease myself, came out of the bathroom checked my phone to see if I have any missed calls or chats and for was a few chats I needed to reply. After that I went out of the room into the sitting room, I went in the sitting room to find big Mommy already attending the online service of "Streams of Joy International". She enjoys Pst. Jerry Eze teachings and almost never misses the online service.
While still standing and listening to the worship session that was ongoing on the television, sis came out and requested money from money, ofcus that's disturbance and except it's really necessary, nobody disturbs Mommy while on live service, after hearing her request which required Mommy to leave the sitting room into her room, mum frowned and looked at since in a funny way, which I couldn't help but smile at, I'm sure all of at one point or the other have gotten this time of look from mum before when she's not pleased. Apparently, she was requesting for money to get detergent to wash her clothes and mum's eyes simply said all that needed to be said and asked all the questions, like "what happened yesterday?" "Why do you need to wash this morning?" Well, it's not her fault entirely considering the fact that she did all the cookings the previous day.
Mummy came out of her room with some cash, handed it over to her, she was dressed to go outside so she looked for helper, someone to help her go buy the detergent, I offered to go and I stead of handing me the money right there in the sitting room, she took it to the kitchen and called me to come get it, when I went into the kitchen I saw and understood the reason she went into the kitchen first with the money, lol, mum gave her ₦2,000 and she want to subtract ₦500, that Na normal thing nuh, any excess money goes to the pocket for miscellaneous. I collected the money, went and got her the detergent on returning I noticed the car hasn't been cleaned and for service that begins by 8:30am mum loves to leave early like 8:10am or 8:15am. I returned from buying the detergent dropped it for her and hurriedly went to make sure the car is clean. I finished with car, while in the room talking, mum came and gave the usual Sunday morning announcement, "we are leaving this house by 8:10am" which sent those of us going to church in a rush cause checking the time it was 7:40am already. I went into the bathroom first and was given 10min by my brother to be out, but I challenged him I'll be out before the 10min elapses which I ended up used about 12min because I brushed before taking my bath.
I came out of the bathroom already dried up, applied cream which by the way my cream is most time Vaseline. After that, I went to the wardrobe where I had 2 different colours and styles of senators I ironed so I'd have a choice. Things that happen only when I have in mind to wear senator material, I was ready by 8:08am and this is how I looked
By 8:11am mum called out to everyone while she was yet to tie her hair but by 8:16am everyone was ready and outside about to move, the gate was opened and we drove off to service. Got to church by 8:35am, only to wait outside for the first service attendants to exit. We didn't wait long tho, in less than 5min we were in and service had already begun with praise and worship session. Church was great I also took some photos of the moments although church announcement stated that the use of phone isn't allowed except for scriptural references so it doesn't distract anyone and I can boldly say I distracted no one not even myself.
Service dismissed by 10:40am and we were home by past 11am, we left mum in church because she wanted to attended 3rd service and also had a meeting to attend after the service.
I got home changed up, sat to watch television a bit while food was being prepared, food was ready and I served myself. It was a delicious plate of rice and stew with beef and fish as protein. I definitely enjoyed my meal. After eating, I continued watching the movie, it was a series "Teacher" I highly recommend if you haven't seen it yet, mehn! The movie is interesting, it's actually my second time seeing it, but it was still as interesting as it was the first time I watched it last year. I sat in the sitting room watching until I slept off. I was later woken up to enter the room where I connected my phone to the MP3 device and played soft gospel and turned the fan to face the bed so I could enjoy my siesta, LOL, that's just me trying to enjoy the most I can of my holiday because school is soon to resume and I'll be back in the hostel without all these. I woke up minutes past 5 and remembered I had premier league match to watch match was between Liverpool and Tottenham which Liverpool won by a landslide of 5:1 claiming the the premier league title for the 24/25 premier league season. Though I'm not a Liverpool fan, rather a Man Utd fan but my team hasn't given me joy in a long time now.
After the game at around, 6:30pm I went on YouTube to watch to highlights if the matches I had missed while I was asleep and couldn't watch from serial A (Italy league), Bundesliga(German league), League 1 and (French league) saw how some clubs that are referred to as 'underdog' were beating the 'big clubs', something that almost happened to my club Man Utd who managed to get a draw against the 10 men Bournemouth which ended 1-1 a match I wasn't happy with as always in a while now. Well, doing that and some other little stuffs, it was already getting to late and I was getting hungry, man needed to get dinner, I was the one to prepare dinner which was to be fried yam and egg sauce, I went to the kitchen pilled the yam, sliced it about 1 full tuber and a lil extra piece because because all 5 of us were eating.
In a few minutes, dinner was ready, I mean, when this guy is in the kitchen he doesn't delay, LOL.
When I was done, I had an idea which was instead of spreading the yam in different plates I just put in one with the egg sauce I had prepared so everybody can just eat at once.
While we ate I continued watching the Teacher series and gisting with my siblings.
After the meal, I washed my hands, drank very chilled water then I sat down to type this and let you all know how my day went and the things I did today.
