Thinking about Karma

in karma •  7 days ago

Me and hubby were having this discussion about why some people keep going through bad things in life. I told him that I do feel sad and sorry for them that they have to go through so much pain in life and he told me that is it not about Karma. Well, I too believe that, it's all about Karma and whatever we are experiencing in life is a result of our previous Karma from our past lives which we have no memory of. Our Planet Earth is like a school, where we keep going through lessons in different forms and our soul keeps progressing higher as we learn those lessons.

Still, there are extreme evil things happening to people and it always makes me think how can karma come so harshly on some people. Is it really fair to experience so much of pain. What kind of life agreement that soul must have made and how do they get so much courage to go through it. Very complicated to understand. Then I also read about free-will and think what if the person who is causing the pain is using free-will and it is not about Karma. Though in that instance the person is creating negative Karma which will have to paid sooner or later.

Things are meant to happen in a certain way in life and we all have to go through challenges to learn our lessons, it's just that each one of us choose different stages of life to go through it. But I feel bad when children have to go through pain at a age where they have no control over their life. In my childhood also I faced lot of pain and it was extreme in some moments and I would end up crying nights together thinking why me, it is not fair. As I grew up I understood about Karma and came to terms that it must be all because of some Karma that I had to pay. But still there are some instances which cannot get wiped off and the pain continues.

Sometimes I feel that in the bargain of resolving Karma and going through extreme pain we may end up with more negative Karma. If we had our past memories then that would not be the case, because then we would completely understand why it is happening. That's not the case, so going through extreme pain, one may become so bitter and negative that they would think of spread that pain to others in their life.

I feel this Karma thing is a vicious cycle which is extremely difficult to break out of. Because as soon as we come to life, our actions begin and we are bound to build Karma.
