I've said before that America does not have a gun violence problem. It has a gang violence problem, and it is the government's fault. The failed war on drugs have put more dangerous drugs on the streets, and those streets in the largest cities are turf for the gangs.

Rahm is only looking at this as a means of controlling people. The uni-party of Democrats and Republicans want control of your daily life. The left want control of what you do with your property or what kind of property you can own, and the right wants to control your individual behaviors. This is plain and simple the reaction of people who have the golf cleats of government of their necks.

There's also a negative correlation between legal gun ownership and murder rates. Where I live most people are armed, but there's very little crime. I think we had maybe one murder last year, but it was a domestic dispute where a wife poisoned her husband.

Same here, it really is just a major city gang thing. Trying to explain that to hand wringing nellies is near impossible.

I always carry two, 100% of the time. BUT I agree toally, more guns results in less violence. When violence comes with a much greater risk, violence become less attractive. Cause and effect, should be obvious....

Don't blame me. I ran for US House against him in 2002:
