Walang sangit merupakan salah satu jenis hama yang mudah sekali dikenali karena bentuknya yang unik ataupun dijumpai di sekitar lingkungan kita terutama di persawahan atau di kebun.
Ciri-cirinya ialah tubuhnya memanjang, berukuran rata-rata 2 cm, bewarna coklat gelap dan terdapat belalai (proboscis) di kepala. Belalai ini berfungsi untuk menghisap cairan tumbuhannyang di singgahinya.
Berikut ini saya menampilkan beberapa gambar walang sangit yang saya temukan sedang hinggap pada salah satu tanaman di kebun saya.
Semua gambar diambil menggunakan kamera smartphone dengan tambahan lensa makro.
